The Barra has $15 deal which have fish (crumbled or battered), chips and a variety of salad to choose from. I had whiting today. The portion is big and filling, the fish is well made, fresh and tasty, salad is great especially you can choose what you like, and the chips are not deep fried so you can still taste the potato original flavour. I think the shop is great for the price you pay. There is also a variety of fish you can choose from, some are more expensive the others but generally sensibly priced. Would recommend!

Had dinner here the other night and it was pretty good. We ordered the mixed grill pack, pineapple fritter and a kids fish and chips pack. The mixed grill came with fish, prawn skewer, calamari, chips and a salad. The seafood were cook quite well and the seasoning was flavoursome. The kids pack came with 2 pieces of fried fish, calamari rings and chips. It was quite generous in portion size. Service was good, we sat outside and they brought the food to our table. Overall a decent fish and chips joint.

I love the set of salad fish and chips, they have a variety of salad and fish to choose having a chips for the side. We order battered white fillet and a chrunchy white fillet two set with a Chinese cabbage salad adding chilli sauce and a Eggs mayo coleslaw , very very satisfied!! The portion is too large for us, we asked for a take away, they said not a problem which was really nice 👍, a had a good lunch here today.

Three of the four things that we judge a fish & chip shop by, were up there with the absolute best!! We finally have a place for amazing potato scallops again - theirs were fantastic. The fish was equally good - cooked perfectly with an excellent crispy batter. And the prawn cutlets were great - nice crumbed coating, large, and cooked perfectly.

The chips were ok but just not quite at the same standard as the rest - good enough to still give a full score on the review though. Unusual for most fish & chip shops, they also had a varied range of interesting salad options as well - that you can either have instead of chips, or as well as chips, and they looked incredible.

They had a sign on the counter apologising that staff shortages might affect service times, but we couldn’t fault them - we were still served quickly, and by lovely friendly staff. The food would be worth waiting for even if there had been a delay. We will...

There nothing special about this place , except that they have nice salads.

People rant on about here but about how great it is but really, they've just mastered the art of presenting the usual frozen deep fried Asian fish and chips on a pretty plate with a pretty clam with sauce. Doesn't justify the pricing at all, or the arragant a-hole at the counter . Be warned , if you don't find him funny you will hurt his feelings and be met with a-hole behaviour. I had grilled fish and chips with Greek salad. Was given a coke can that had the words Bogan on it. He thought I didn't notice , but I did watch him dig it up. Thought id save it for the review. All over because I didn't find his jokes at the counter funny. Got news for you old man , it's life, not everyone will find you...

Ordered over phone, when I got there they were still cooking our burgers which was fine except the chef had no gloves on, touched everything that was possibly edible and placed everything with his “gloveless” hands on the burger. I was already turned off by this point. The chips in the combo had been put in the takeaway tray which sat for 10 minutes whilst waiting for the burger to be finished so I asked if the chips were still hot? The chef placed the full palm of his hand on the chips to check the heat. I was feeling nauseous by this stage and said, please don’t do that. He chucked them back in the fryer to heat them up but unfortunately I just couldn’t eat it all after that. In these times, a pair of gloves or tongs would just be a no-brainer …. ...
