I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Portuguese Bakery, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I entered, I was captivated by the wide variety of pastries and the inviting aroma of freshly brewed coffee.
The bakery boasts an impressive selection of pastries that cater to every palate. Whether you're a fan of traditional Portuguese delicacies or seeking something new and adventurous, this place has it all. From creamy custard tarts to flaky pastéis de bacalhau, each treat was crafted with precision and care. The flavors were authentic and rich, transporting me to the streets of Lisbon with every bite.
The quality of the coffee at The Portuguese Bakery is truly commendable. The robust flavors and aromatic brews are a testament to their dedication to serving the best. Whether you prefer a classic espresso or a velvety cappuccino, the baristas skillfully crafted each cup to perfection. The coffee complemented the pastries perfectly, creating a harmonious medley of flavors.
One aspect that stood out to me was the cleanliness and tidiness of the bakery. The entire establishment was spotless, reflecting their commitment to maintaining a high standard of hygiene. The pleasant ambiance, coupled with the neatly arranged display of pastries, created an inviting and comfortable environment.
However, what truly sets The Portuguese Bakery apart is its exceptional staff. The team members were not only friendly but also incredibly welcoming. They greeted customers with warm smiles and were more than willing to offer recommendations and answer any questions. Their passion for their craft was evident, and their enthusiasm added an extra layer of enjoyment to my visit.
I highly recommend a visit to The Portuguese Bakery. The array of pastries and the quality of their coffee are second to none. The immaculate cleanliness and inviting atmosphere create a delightful setting for indulging in these delectable treats. Above all, the friendly and welcoming staff make the experience truly memorable. Whether you're a Portuguese cuisine enthusiast or simply looking for a delightful culinary adventure, The Portuguese Bakery is a must-visit...
Read moreNice tarts, average price ($3 traditional woh optional cinnamon powder, $3.50 for available flavours).
I bought 6 for my first visit and extremely happy with my decision.
I took them home and popped them into the oven to be served extra warm and crispy. This is my only preferred way to enjoy Portuguese tarts. This is how I imagine they taste coming straight out of the oven and it is delicious.
my personal preference of flavours available today: #1 traditional - definitely get cinnamon powder to be dusted on top. Takes the tart to a whole new level of enjoyment.
#2 Raspberry - a really soft fruit tone to the tart which is surprisingly pleasant!
#3 Choc hazelnut - it was like Nutella, quite delicious.
#4 salted caramel - I found it overpoweringly sweet and a little bitter.
downside is that it is a cash only store. I rarely carry cash and I was quite surprised. But don’t let that deter you from trying their products, it looks delicious. From freshly baked breads, to savoury pastries and cakes.
I look forward to my...

The cafe boss jumped in and told off his employee who was serving my friend not to ever do that again and that was THE LAST TIME he will allow it! That was done out loud in front of all customers and my friend. She returned to our table quite disturbed and almost feeling guilty she even dared to ask. All the happy momentum was gone in that one moment. The atmosphere was unpleasant so that was my first and the last time at the...
