Absolutely disgusted at the treatment we received by the “manager” on duty, going by the name of T on 09/12/23 at 7.40pm.
After ringing to enquire about the price of 30 pizzas for our kids’ birthday party, we were met with the most indignant, rude attitude I think I’ve ever encountered.
We couldn’t quite understand why she was so short and rude when we were potentially placing such a large order, but we persisted with getting a quote.
When she gave us a figure that was inflated by more than $200 when delivery was included, we questioned her on why it was so much more when Pizza Hut only charged a small fee to deliver such a large quantity.
She told us that that was just the way it was. I told her that it didn’t make sense to me as that was the cost to hire a truck to deliver 30 pizzas. Completely overpriced. We thanked her for her time and before we could even finish our sentence, she hung up on us.
No “goodbye”, no “sorry we couldn’t be of assistance”, nothing.
Our young boy was sitting beside us and as we were all looking at each other wondering what had just happened, he said, “Why did she just hang up on us?”.

I rang her back and asked her why she was so rude and why she hung up on us.
Her reply was “I’ve got other things to do”. I couldn’t believe it.
I told her that I wanted the manager and she told me she was the manager to which I responded with, “You should be modelling better customer service for your staff”.
Obviously irritated, in a rude, high pitched tone she said “have a good night” and hung up on me once again.
I tried calling the store again but she put us on hold and refused to take the call.
When I called back on my phone it was answered immediately by another staff member.
I asked for the name of the manager to which the employee replied that she goes by the nickname “T”.
I am absolutely appalled at the treatment we received tonight and will be escalating this complaint to head office. This “T” is not managerial material. She clearly lacks basic customer service skills, basic PEOPLE skills, no complaints handling experience and a complete lack of regard for the damage she is doing to the business.

I was called immediately by a staff member to say that they could not deliver my order and that I would be immediately refunded my money when she cancelled my order. I checked the next evening and the deposit had not appeared. I called the store and asked for the manager and before I this person would hand the phone over I had to explain to him what I wanted him for? Another person got on the phone and asked how he could help me? I said that I was already talking to somebody and this person said that he was the manager and that the phone was asked to take over the call because I was being rude and I was yelling neither of which happened because that type of behaviour gets you nowhere. I am so offended that not only was I accused of this but I was belittled and spoken down to. I have been in customer service all my life and never once have I ever witnessed a staff member, especially a manager speak in this manner. Never once was there an apology for order not being able to be delivered nor the refund not actioning. This was the first time that I have ordered online, I will not be doing it again.
