⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 I booked Echoes Restaurant & Bar for my girlfriend’s birthday and it truly exceeded every expectation. The moment you step in, you’re greeted with absolutely breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains — the kind of view that makes you just pause and take it all in. The food was wonderful, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Every dish felt thoughtful and well-made. But what really made the experience special was the service. A special mention to Keely — our lovely waitress — who was genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive. She even took her time to help us capture photos together, and did it with patience and a smile. In my online booking, I had requested a small birthday surprise — a little dessert plate with my girlfriend’s name — and the team delivered it perfectly. It felt personal, thoughtful, and heartfelt. This entire experience made our day feel truly memorable. If you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate something special — or simply want to enjoy great food with a spectacular view — I highly recommend Echoes. We will definitely be back. 💛

To begin with, staff were absolutely amazing and helpful, really makes an impact on the atmosphere. Service and wait times were acceptable. Views were also a great addition. We had a 3 course meal, as well as breakfast the following day. The entrées were probably the star of the menu. Well flavoured and presented. The mains however, were less impressive for the reputation and price. The confit duck in particular was lacking in texture and a memorable flavour. Deserts were well presented, but also lacklustre in their flavour and texture to stand out as differentiators or to justify their cost. Breakfast was fairly standard, no major highlights to note. We were booked and confirmed under a buffet breakfast option, but disappointed to find out on the day that this was not available. Overall would still recommend if you’re looking for a fancy experience in the Blue Mountains. Try to catch the sunset time. Views are predominantly to the south with some exposure to the west.

Visited the Echos Restaurant for a birthday lunch last week and the first thing that screams amazing is how beautiful the restaurant is with the panoramic views of the blue mountains. The whole ambience of the restaurant and hotel is rustic and beautiful. We ordered the Pan Seared Scallops which was so flavourful. For mains we ordered the Lamb backstrap, which was cooked to perfection. The Lamb was juicy and the minced lamb dumplings on the side left us craving for more. The slow cooked ocean trout was a bit too salty for our liking. For dessert we ordered the Apple Tarte Tartin, which was slightly underwhelming compared to the rest of our meals. We would probably try then Matcha Creme Brulee on our next visit. The service was flawless and the staff were extremely friendly and polite. On a whole, it was a beautiful experience and we will be back soon.

Amazing setting to eat dinner. Beautiful views- hard to beat. The whole restaurant has a real authenticity about it… but I think they might rely on that a little too much. The food was fine… lacked a little seasoning, meat was a little tough, but fine. I’m fortunate to live in Melbourne's Yarra Valley where we are spoilt with great food and this was just not quite up there. The service… well that was a huge let down. Slow to respond, ordered drinks from two separate waiters 25 mins apart and they still didn’t come. Had to go to the bar manager and ask for it directly. Water was not topped up, even after we waited for ages and then asked for it. Again- I went and found a water jug inside after waiting too long. As you do when you are sitting waiting for service, you look around and it was unfortunately a similar story for the other diners. The staff simply were not aware of their surroundings and just seemed to lack basic training. Maybe not their fault - but if two tables ask for water - look around and check the the other tables next to them while you are standing there with a jug in your hand I say... Overall really expensive for what you actually got, but the view and a nice walk in the dark after dinner made for a great night anyway. We did get offered a round of free drinks that we declined, so they tried to make up for it I guess. Probably wouldn’t go back here again if I were...

The location is great and at the right time the view can be stunning. However considering that this is a very expensive, hatted restaurant the food, service, atmosphere and value were all somewhat lacking.

We were put on a table later than all of the other tables in the restaurant, only at 7:15, which meant by the time we finished the meal we were alone. And despite there being a wedding in the next room, which the staff were attending, it felt like they were rushing us through. To the point where we had to deliberately not finish our mains in fear that they would be whisked away and replace with next course too soon. We were given a pallet cleanser before the dessert and my wife had not managed to eat the few mouthfuls before it was pushed out the way for her dessert.

Some of the food was excellent, whilst others were a bit over cooked, the duck, or over seasoned, the side mash. The desserts were great. Beer selection was poor and generally the price of the meal was very high for the quality and experience. Disappointing for a highly reviewed restaurant, would not recommend, go and look at the view from...

The view is the best thing about this restaurant, that and the sunset. We had a lovely cocktail out on the deck to begin our night. Unfortunately there were a few things I wasn’t happy about (although my mother thoroughly enjoyed her experience). When booking I said it was for my mother’s 92nd birthday, when we arrived we were dismayed to see that the only way up to the restaurant was a huge and steep flight of stairs - no lift. It was a wonder my mother made it up, let alone down. We weren’t informed at booking and there is nothing on the website to indicate that it isn’t ‘accessible’. The food was okay but not to the standard I expected, nor for the price. 3 courses were compulsory on Sat night even if you don’t want them (which I didn’t). The service left a lot to be desired. We had to ask for water (our preference was tap) twice. The third time we were given bottled water. It took ages for our glass of wine to come and when finished we weren’t offered another. So overall not great but my mother was oblivious and enjoyed her night which was the main thing. Wouldn’t repeat the...
