Very disappointing. Firstly, didn't want to have to write a Google review, but after calling the store to express our concerns the manager rudely cut us off. We were the only ones dining there last night around 7pm so ideally you wouldn't imagine having to wait very long for the food. My partners main came out first. Then roughly 12 to 15 minutes later, after having to ask for where my main was, it eventually came out. Not only did I have to ask for my main, I also had to re-ask for the drink I had ordered earlier. Keep in mind, we are still the only customers dining... About the main. I ordered the Spicy Prawn Linguine, which is placed under the Pasta section of the menu, therefore I was expecting a Prawn Linguine Pasta however what I was presented with was what appeared to be a dry noodle dish. After all of that, I was happy to put the experience aside and order dessert from the menu. I had to go up to the counter to order as we had not been checked up on at all throughout the night. I wanted to order the Cake of the day, only to be told, there was no Cake of the day which was disappointing in it's self as it was on the menu. Ready to wrap up the night and I had to carry my plate of left overs to the counter to have it packaged up as once again we weren't checked up on. As we paid and were leaving, we saw there was a "Special's Board" which was not mentioned to us during our dining experience at all. The waiter was young and appeared to possibly be new to the company which they require further training in looking after their customers and ensuring the service is adequate. It's an absolute shame. Relatively new restaurant, the first time we visited back in January it was absolutely amazing. However, after last night's experience it's left us very disappointed. Especially after calling to share this feedback with the manager only to be rudely cut off. Hopefully when and IF we return, there will be improvements as this restaurant has huge potential. Hopefully the owner takes this feedback as constructive feedback as I've noticed in other low star reviews the owner replies with defensive comments of how it's not ever their fault, but...
Read moreThis has been, by far, the worst food experience we have had in Sydney. The menu had a choice selection of 4 mains - a good sign. Do somehting, do it well, I thought.
We picked the chicken and pork belly. No entrees.
It took them 45 minutes to come by with our order. there was only one other table present.
Wait staff were not fully aware about the menu - they had a black worn out shirt and messy hair - not presented well at all.
Chicken was NOT crunchy, sauce was not sweet or spicy as mentioned. The batter was clumped, dry and flaked off
4, The pork - the presentation was awful. As you can see in the picture there is no sign of any jus; when we asked the wait staff about this they mentioned that it was already on the plate. So dear public spot the sauce?????? The veggies as you see were cold, dry and burnt.
The kitchen had two people in it. They seemed to have no idea what was going on, very slow and slack.
The food left us feeling sick. The manager was not available to speak to us as anther table was fed up and decided to walk out as service was taking too long. They were not happy when their food arrived. The manager comp'd us a beverage. I could tell that the waiter felt really bad for us.
Saving Graces: Ample free parking, accessible from the main road. The atmosphere and decor is quite nice.
Wrap up : Avoid. Take your hard earned dollars elsewhere.
Edit : There was a single table ahead of us. Followed by one table after us. Took them the better part of 30 minutes to serve the first table and then 15 more minutes to serve us. 45 minutes for f(D)ried chicken and cold pork belly. Don't see what weather has to do with serving two tables. I overheard some comments from your staff that I will not post on here, at the risk of ruining...
Read moreWe went at a very quiet time, 2pm (it’s was just my partner and I plus another couple and a family of 4). We were given menus and then were forgotten. We sat there for 10 mins approx. waiting for someone to come back to get our order. We thought maybe we needed to go up and order ourselves so my partner went up to order but was told to sit back down and she’d come to us. She finally came over and served us very unenthusiasticly. We ordered the antipasto- vegetarian (which on the menu was pictured seeming as though it had cheeses, fruits, crackers, nuts etc.), the gnocchi and the fish and chips, plus some beers. Anyway the antipasto comes out and it’s nothing like what was shown on the menu instead it had veggies, feta, bread and hommus (which isn’t even Italian lol). It was yummy at least. However half way through eating we found a rubber band in our platter. We gave it to the waiter and the chef came out and sort of laughed it off (no discount was given as other places do when something inedible is in the food). The gnocchi was soft which was lovely but the taste itself was average (it’s literally pasta and butter). The fish and chips was also average. We overall payed $80 for a below average experience, I honestly just left feeling ripped off...
