I’ve been coming to this local, family-run spot since I was attending high school and I’m so happy to see they’re still going strong. Their beef brisket noodles are just as amazing as I remember — rich, tender, not dry and full of flavor, with perfectly cooked noodles and insanely large, satisfying portions. I literally never finish the noodles.
The staff are incredibly friendly and make you feel right at home every time. It’s the kind of place where you’re treated like family, not just a customer. On top of all that, the food and drinks are priced so affordable, which makes the whole experience even better.
There’s something warm and nostalgic about being here. No modern renovations needed, looked the same for over a decade. It’s more than just a meal — it’s a comforting, familiar experience that brings back memories and leaves you full and happy every time. A true hidden gem that deserves way more love.
I recommend their steamed fish, the traditional Cantonese way with ginger and shallots. They make it so well, perfectly cooked where the meat is so tender. Their lobster with noodles dish is also very good. These are usually expensive market priced dishes but they’re so cheap and tastes so good here. 100% SLAPS.
I didn’t get a photo because I demolished it right after a gym session. Just trust me...
Read moreI visited this casual Chinese restaurant for the first time yesterday with my husband and was pleasantly surprised by the taste, quality and price of the food.
I had passed this restaurant many times, seeing how busy they were, but went to another restaurant. Little did I know that Happy Kitchens food was even better!!!
The sweet and sour pork was tasty and crispy and we were able to remove the veges that we didn't like and get extra pineapple. The stir fried beef and rice noodles was so delicious and the chicken and pineapple fried rice was so nice with a great smokey flavour which you only get with a really hot wok. In short, the chef has great expertise.
The portion sizes are really generous and Bryant, our host, was really friendly and helpful. The prices were amazing too - only $13.80 for most dishes. The sweet and sour pork was $20 but worth every penny.
Now I know why they are always busy!!! People like great tasting food which is of generous portions at a good price and with friendly staff!!! If you charge too much then people can't afford it so good on them for not being greedy like some other places and keeping their customers happy. We will be returning for sure!!!!
Thank you....

It is a simple, no nonsense, typical Cafe similar to those in Hong Kong. Many tables are round with laminated top which sits 4. My froends and I, four of us come for lunch special, single serves of noodle or rice dishes. Each comes with a free hot or cold Hong Kong style milk tea.
The friendly waitress that serves us recommends 4 dishes. All are of reasonable portion size, and plenty for sharing among four.
Tastewise, none is salty nor sweet. They are just right for my palate.
The Tofu and Chichen on rice is a bit plain. I suggest it comes with more smooth and silken egg gravy, with a small dash of soy sauce to colour the sauce to give e a better visual appeal.
The fried rice is not exactly what I expect, because it is a bit moist.
The combination rice noodle and glass noodle is a winner.
The Beef with Crispy is the favourite for my friends but it not for me. To mr, the crisp noodles do not go well with the savoury beef slices.
This is good...
