I need bread that is gluten and soy free .. not because it is trendy but because i get serious pain if i consume these items. I am not a rich woman and would buy normal bread if i could. Anyway I went in and the Naturis corn bread gf is all piced at 5.99 each . There were 4 loaves all priced the same. I wanted 1 loaf. And yes that is the rrp every where else. Still more than normal bread but its the only inexpensive one in the ingredients i require for a bread ... indulgence... ! Took to counter and the girl scans it and enters $6.99 on the eft pad. I looked twice seeing i was getting charged more. I disputed it as wrong as ALL of them are priced that. She calls her god manager on her redio talky walky and briefly describes if it is 6.99 or 5.99. The answer was 6.99. But i said they have All been ticketed ar 5.99. I have been in retail for 30 years and if this hapoens i honour it that day or time at the price marked. She wouldnt. And said oh its just a human error abd lectured me on that and i was obviously wrong. Anywho as i said i buy for my HEALTH not trendy reasons. It ended in a yelling march as i tried to reason the whole shelf was priced at 5.99 and another customer was picking one up too. And gluten free cakes priced at 8 to 10 bucks a slce the slice size less than a tim tam. Highway robberry for people with serious health problems. We have look at it in horror especially at the scrooge size serving. We are entitled to a decent slice too. I woould get a regular type cake elsewhere but cant. We are in need of a treat too and are being RIPPED OFF... as its labelled or treated as trendy dieting . Products storewide are somewhat even over the top for dried fruits etc . The sunday trade there was low in customers too. I was amazed how much salad erc was in the window counter fridge. And so many cakes gf at big pricing per thin as slices ... no one is buying it
Surely my one loaf of bread at 5.99 that exploded into 6.99 could have paid 14 minutes of soneones payroll for sunday. Not comming back as i said it is a wrought preying on people with real healrh problems and need healrhy basics. You are overpricing way more than other health...
Read moreI ordered a muffin that was completely inedible (too much sodium bicarbonate) and when I took it back to explain that the recipe had failed and it was inedible - I was met with very poor customer service from an older gentleman wearing a coloured fedora (hat). He challenged me and stated it tasted ok to him. I expressed my concern and the need for the chef to check. He was not keen to refund me and when the chef confirmed the mistake, he merely refunded with a merger apology, stating the part of the muffin he ate was ok and the part I ate was not. The first interaction and his mistake was so poorly handled. Made me feel like I was somehow trying to swindle him out of $12.50 for a muffin. Very disappointing.
In response to the below comment: Hi Talia, I am not sure if youâre the owner or not? I was taking to a man in a fedora (sadly I did not ask his name) who was less than helpful. The lady I spoke to (also not sure of her name) was lovely. She helped me and was happy to replace the inedible muffin with a smoothie. I would have happily walked away with nil discontent at that juncture - with the hope that other customers be spared the incorrect recipe. However, When the lovely lady checked with her boss - he said no to a refund or replacement. Had the boss (man in fedora) enquired further into the issue and gathered some facts or even acknowledged the food recipe being incorrect (having too much sodium bicarbonate) this would not have escalated. I escalated because I was denied my right as a customer - to a refund for faulty product purchase. The man in the fedora did not take accountability. Nor did he acknowledged this product was faulty. It was difficult to get a refund and only the request for them to check with the chef - proceeded with acknowledgement of the product being faulty and my legal right to a refund.
In response to do I make mistakes: the answer is yes I do and I am the first one to put my hand up, acknowledge it, apologise and not gaslight or pretend otherwise. This allows me (and others) to look to ways that I can change my behaviour to improve for the future and do the best and be my best for myself and my...
