Gözleme King Rhodes — Restaurant in Sydney

CLEAN PLACE BUT AVERAGE SERVICE I have been to this place multiple times in the past and have always liked their service and food. All those times, Manager was there on site. But this time there were 2 girls who were there by themselves.

We ordered our usual. But the Spinach and Feta gozleme did not taste fresh. I always liked the fact that they used to make it when ordered and not like those shops who premake it and then just heat it up. It wasnt fresh. The ratio of spinach to fetta ratio wasn’t right.

Some bits only had spinach. Some only had Fetta and even though I am not lactose intolerant. I felt so uneasy after eating those bits. Just had a few pieces because we were really hungry but did not like it.

We drove 45 mins just to visit this place as we always liked the taste and service, but it is declining and We wont be going there anymore.

Overall food was way below average but still giving them 2 stars. Could only eat what I ate because of the Peri mayo dip on the side. But nice and tidy place so 5 stars...

The girl with the septum piercing might be happier playing on her phone at home. When I went to buy a ready-made item her colleague was hard at work on the grill, standing understandably with her back towards customers. One would think that this other girl would be standing behind the register, ready to serve new customers. Nope. Busy hiding behind the counter and playing on her phone when I dared politely disturb her highness, requesting a simple purchase, to which she replied rudely and aggressively as if ready to fight -- all I said was I wanted to buy something. She continued to act like I offended her by asking her to sell me an item (a job she's paid to do). She was rude throughout the entirety of the transaction. I had to reach towards her (in a pandemic) to tap my card because she kept the machine so intentionally far away from me, because it's my fault she had to leave her phone. Sensory and gustatory, one bite will see you as a return customer to satisfy the taste memory.

The ladies are passionate in the food preparation (watch the Gozleme prepared before your eyes) and the wide menu selection will make it difficult to select for want of delicious choices.

Do try the Veggie Bowl and Lentil Soup aside Gozleme. There is also a vast array of Turkish/Middle Eastern sweets.

Service is warm and surprisingly efficient in terms of promptness considering the authenticity and freshness.

All in all a regular favourite and you will not be disappointed. Seating could be slightly larger as was boxed in by another patron, civil pleasantry circumnavigated the situation.
