2nd visit - Dec 2019: Good experience 2nd time around - dishes with Asian inspired flavours was well executed - tasty and pleasing to the eye. They even gave us complimentary dessert (pandan pudding) to share between 2. Recommend the Pulled pork Benedict and truffled fried rice and taro frappe. Friendly staff. ******* First visit: Don’t get the hype of this place. Sure the menu sounds creative but the service and quality of the dishes served up is shocking! Long wait of 30 mins for the first dish to come out, then another 15mins for the 2nd dish of 2 to arrive. Corn fritters was gluggy and too flour-y; crab omelette was all egg and too much butter/cream with no other flavour or protein to cut through the heaviness. Service was all over the place... there was a waiting list however some inconsiderate people strolls in and claims their own table without the staff controlling table allocations. Every time you ask for anything (cutlery, water etc), it takes nearly 10 minutes to arrive. This is despite about 5-6 staff roaming around in a very small cafe. Much better training of waiting tables and servicing with a smile is crucial! Won’t be returning. A very disappointing experience...

Nice cafe, short walk from Rhodes train station. There was also street parking around. I believe they have a Darlinghurst branch as well. Nice interior and clean inside. We were seated inside around the corner though so it was a bit hard to get the staff attention when trying to order but otherwise they were friendly and quick to take our order once we did catch someone. Our food came out pretty quick (me and my friend did come during a weekday and late in the arvo - not too sure how busy it gets during the weekend). Ordered the Crab Omelette, this was actually the second time we'd been here cause we really enjoyed it the first time we tried it. And to try something else we also ordered the corn fritters however it was just ok, would've rather just ordered 2 of the omelette. Also ordered a black sesame latte & hojicha latte - both full and flavour and not watered down with too much milk. Would definitely come here again and I suggest trying the crab omelette considering this is the second time I've ordered it and not been disappointed. Might try something else on the menu though next time as well - possibly the pancakes since it's one of their more popular menu items.

Having already tried Auvers in Darling Square, it's no surprise that I enjoyed Auvers Dining in Rhodes as well. The atmosphere is relaxed and chilled with modern surrounds which make you forget the restaurant is within a shopping centre complex. Overall the food is excellent, flavourful and artfully served up to you. The menu is designed as Asian fusion and they do so excellently. The serving sizes of each dish varies a little though but adequate. Dinner is only available on specific days so please check their website. We tried the beef Wagyu noodles and Confit Duck with spinach pasta. Both were superb (my son pretty much finished the wagyu dish himself so it must be good!). The service is functional and efficient with dishes served relatively timely. They also have a nice drinks and cocktail menu. It's a place that's kid friendly (with a kids menu) but also classy enough that couples would enjoy the atmosphere as well. Recommended!

We had a great experience at Auvers dining. Trendy Modern Australian cafe with a Japanese twist and insta worthy dishes.Went for a weekday brunch. The setting and decor is lovely. Although it's inside Rhodes Waterview shopping centre, doesn't feel like it. Service was prompt and attentive. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. We ordered the eggs Benedict and the confit duck spaghetti with a side of fries with saffron mayo. The eggs Benedict was the highlight. Perfect 65degree eggs, pork in a croissant with a Japanese inspired sauce. Every component was delicious and perfect. The duck spaghetti was delicious as well. The confit duck was soft and rich. Although I personally felt it needed a pinch more seasoning. Coffee was on point. The chips were just a slight let down in comparison. Not particularly crunchy and couldn't taste any saffron in the mayo. But still a five star experience

We haven't been to very many good breakfast dining options around the local area, so was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was! The menu was definitely very interesting- a good selection of intriguing dishes with an eclectic mix of flavours. Takes a while to think about what to order if you haven't been here before. Having read reviews about the food being overpriced for what you get, I ordered the beef and mushroom gyoza not really expecting a very filling dish. It actually ended up being quite big and extremely delicious- I would never have considered beef and mushroom to go so well with carrot puree and red bean! This dish definitely makes me want to come back and order the rest of the menu. Very appreciative of the creativity in both the mix of flavours and presentation (having seen pictures of the other dishes).

Been to Auvers in Rhodes and Darling Square numerous times! I think it's one of my favourite cafes/ restuarants to go to. I go to either almost once every 2 months or less. Food is always delicious. My go to is the eggs benedict, the croissant is super flaky and delicious, the sauce is top notch, the onsen eggs are always nice and runny, and you can't forget the nice addition of pork floss, corn and spinach which really gives it an extra kick of flavours. I also had the matcha latte last time, it was really good, the flavours were nice and strong and worked well with the food. The auvers matcha pancake is also on the must try list, however i would suggest sharing the dish especially if you've had your own main dish as it is quite heavy and rich. Overall, amazing as usual. Can't wait to go back and try other dishes!
