A hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get, truly won my heart with its 5-star charm and excellence in every aspect.

Every dish we ordered was a masterpiece, showcasing a perfect blend of flavors and freshness. From the first bite to the last, I was in awe of the culinary expertise evident in each plate. Highly recommend the Chilli Crab Omelette (mild spice)!! The menu offers a variety of options, catering to different tastes. If you appreciate top-notch decor, exceptional service and mouthwatering food, this is the place for you.

The ambiance is tastefully done, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that adds to the overall dining experience. The overall vibe at Greenknowe suggests a lovely family-owned establishment, which only adds to its charm. The genuine warmth and dedication to providing an exceptional dining experience make it clear that this is more than just a cafe – it's a labor of love. The attention to detail in the interior design is commendable and reflects the care and passion put into the establishment.

I will undoubtedly be returning for more. It's a testament to what a dining experience should be. Highly, highly...

A Hidden Gem for Filipino Comfort Food in Sydney!

Greenknowe Cafe absolutely nails it with their lomi—a rare find in Sydney and a true treat for anyone craving Filipino flavors. The bowl arrives steaming hot, generously packed with thin noodles, tender meat, perfectly cooked egg, and crunchy toppings that add just the right texture. It’s rich, savory, and soul-warming—comfort food at its finest.

As someone who grew up with Batangas-style lomi, I was thrilled to find a version this close to the real deal. I love that they serve it with the right condiments. The only tweak I’d suggest to make it truly authentic? Use thick and flat noodles, and thicken the soup just a bit more to capture that signature gooey, velvety broth Batangueños know and love. Would be better to add chicharon instead of ground pork too. But even as it stands, this is hands-down one of the best lomis you’ll find outside the Philippines.

Pair it with their excellent coffee and you’ve got a meal that hits all the right notes. Can’t wait...

We found this place quite by accident during a short stay we had in Sydney not so long ago.

We were staying just around the corner at The Macleay Hotel, Macleay Street, Sydney and were looking for a nice interesting place to have brunch.

After a short stroll towards Elizabeth Bay we found Greenknowe cafe and were instantly intrigued by the delicious Filipino themed menu that was on display along with the lovely relaxed and friendly ambience of the location. So in we went.

The hardest thing by far was making a choice from all the wonderful dishes on offer!!!

The three of us chose completely different items from the menu and, suffice to say, we all completely cleared our plates in record time. Not a word was spoken from start to finish.

Such delicious food and all prepared absolutely perfectly. And the coffees and drinks were delicious too.

Just can’t wait to get back to Sydney so we can start working our way through the rest the wonderfully inventive menu!!

Just yum!...

Charming little cafe in Potts Point with delicious food and coffee, as well as great service. I love that they had both Aussie-style and Filipino food options, making it perfect to bring friends and family along who would like to have different types of meals. We ordered the pork belly tocino, which is not the traditional tocino but the flavour and portion were 10/10. We also ordered the breakfast wrap, which my husband said was also good. The location is ideal for those who would like to grab a bite before or after going on a walk as there are plenty of parks and gardens nearby. Last, but not least, service was friendly and spot-on as we were greeted and seated immediately, we didn't have to wait long for food, and it wasn't hard to get anybody's attention when we needed assistance.

Food: We had the crab omelette and the ube-ricotta pancake—both were absolutely divine. It was our first time visiting this café, and I’m so glad we did. I’ve been looking for a Filipino-inspired café, and I finally found this gem. For drinks, we tried the tablea chocolate and the ube matcha latte; both were well-balanced with just the right amount of sweetness for my palate. The adobo lumpia could have been a little more moist with a stronger adobo flavour, but the banana ketchup pairing was spot on. Service: Excellent service—quick, attentive, and very welcoming. Atmosphere: A relaxing spot with a warm, Filipino-inspired vibe. Perfect for enjoying today’s long-awaited sunny day in Sydney!
