It was my first time going to guzman y gomez at castle hill today and I rate it one star; not because of customer service but more because of how I was treated. I ordered a mini beef burrito which said $8 on the menu board, but the male worker serving me said it was $8.50. So, I just asked 'oh so it isn't $8?' Then he said no, so i just asked 'oh why's that?' because I just thought that maybe it was just because I ordered beef? Then immediately, a female worker (about 5'4, white, skinny, blondish hair) cleaning right near said loudly 'Well did you order beef or steak?!?!?!' Then i said 'beef' then she said, 'well that's why it's an extra 50 cents!'. And no kidding, she looked mad and gave me such big eyes! She literally came out of nowhere.
I was honestly just shocked and actually felt embarassed because I wasn't even trying to be rude or disrespectful. I just genuinely wanted to know. It was a simple question. And the customers around me were just looking so it felt even more embarassing and awkward..
And yeah, I was very surprised that I got such a response and that a worker would have their guts to speak to a customer that way. I personally work in fast food as well but I can say that I've never treated a customer that way, no matter how annoying their question would seem. The lady honestly didn't have to be so rude to me. I get that she may have been having a long day and was sick of customers, but I honestly didn't deserve that. So overall, I just left the restaurant very unsettled, and I know that I will definitely not be coming back again, ever. Just can't believe I was treated that way...

Everywhere else I go is always spectacular and has perfect service. Whoever the supervisor or manager is at this franchise needs to either be given a warning for their poor ability to do what they're required to do in their role and needs to be stricter with their staff and display better quality food and service. I ordered Nacho Fries on Uber Eats and the "tracker" was stuck on "wrapping up your order". My food had a driver assigned, though he ended up leaving due to how long the restaurant were taking. I called the restaurant to try and get some answers, the phone went to voice mail after a few rings, which I then assumed they hung up on me. I called another 2 more times and they ended up disconnecting their phones. Absolutely disgusted by your customer service. I will NEVER order from this franchise again. Ive ordered once before and my order was completely wrong and have poor portion sizes. I thought i would give you guys one last chance and boy did I regret that! Hats off to the franchise in Seven Hills, always spectacular with their service and they are ALWAYS on time. Do NOT order from this franchise unless you want to wait more than an hour for cold food that isn't even what you ordered. As you walk the streets of Sydney, your vision will be flooded with advertisements from Guzman y Gomez. Buses plastered with jabs at their competition saying that they are real food not fast food and talking on the quality of their food.
But as veteran google reviewer Blake Mahaffie had his first bite of his chicken burrito he knew that all these words fell flat.
The chips were a confused mess, couldn't decide what seasoning they wanted, apparently it took them 11 attempts to get to this. I wish they went for a few more.
The burrito was disappointing, I really wanted it to succeed but as I tried to chowed down the mountainous amounts of rice overwhelming the burrito my hopes were dashed.
I hope that in the future more restaurants will put more effort into the food rather than the advertising.
