Summary: Disappointed at the new opening and does not hold up compare to other Guzman y Gomez
I was served as customer #387 which my food was packed by a supervisor. I had a missing main meal and taco set which I have to ask for. While the supervisor has apologise for the mistake, I was really hopping my negative experience could store there. It did not.
After I took my order home, I received more disappointments. My nachos and bowl meals were overly salty. It was difficult to consume without water. The nachos topping were all separated. The toppings were slap side by side which I have never seen in a GYG from my entire life. The Guacamole served to me tasted funny and does not appear to be fresh... I am concerned. My Bowl Meal appeared to be half full despite paying full price for a large size.
GYG has been my favourite because of their quality, service and freshness. This store failed them all. I am greatly disappointed at the quality of the food and service of this branch.
Just because it is 45 min before closing, it does not mean any customers should be presented with poorer quality of service and food.
I do not plan to return to GYG Maroubra until your team re-evaluate your customer service and there is evidences that you (GYG Maroubra) will make improvement in your food...

Consistency- the last reg chicken bowl I ordered with extra guac and extra sour cream filled me up so much I almost didn't finish it, today's one was half the size and I felt cheated and hungry
Service- The customer service was otherworldly the lady at the front although absolutely lovely and smiley really struggled to understand my order
Clarity- The lack of habanero hot sauce at the front caused another calamity where I was told I didn't need it because I ordered spicy. I do need it, I know my palette and I know what I want. Finally the girl at the front convinced the sour irritated cook to give me some on the side to take home, he really didn't want to!
I asked for extra onions on both orders, both were missing
My side of medium fries has about 5 chips in it
No forks, cutlery, serviettes in the bag this time and last time I was there.
I think many of the problems stem from the cook/manager at the back, who my partner tells me is rude and miserable every time they interact. Overall, the staff are just not with it.

Read moreI order GYG a lot and you can excuse the occasional mistake or bad day but I’ve now been to this store 7 times and every single time the service has been terrible. The wait times have been really bad even though there weren’t many orders up or people around, I keep getting notifications that my order is ready and then have to wait an extra 20-30 mins for it to actually be ready, and today the lady ignored me even though I was next in queue, she walked away, then on her way back looked me straight in the face, walked to the counter to pick up Coca-Cola bottles filled with water (?!) and then walked away without saying a word so I had to wait until I could get someone else’s attention. I understand that there might be urgent things that staff need to attend to but it’s common sense to at least acknowledge the customer, excuse yourself, and then alert another staff member (there was another lady behind her with her back to the counter who stopped what she was doing when she saw there were...
