Unfortunately this was a let down on the food, I ordered the eggs Benedict with salmon which arrived fast after ordering but was still only barely warm when arriving, I didn’t mention anything as the service was really good so just left it, the presentation was awful slapped together on a plate with way to much paprika everywhere very sloppy definitely not worth 26$ nothing else no garnishes nothing then halfway through the first muffin something rock hard hurt my back tooth and I spat it out and it looked like a hard chunk of plastic or nail clipping so gross, honestly that’s what it looked like but couldn’t work out what it was, turned me off eating anything else, we also order 2 scrambled eggs for my grandad who has issues eating chunky food due to choking and they definitely were not scrambled it was just two fried eggs stuck together and left to cook nothing scrambled about them.

When I alerted the lovely staff member she apologised and was very good and offered to have it remade but turned me off so I refused anything else. She Fixed everything up though and took it off the bill which I appreciated.

I’ll give credit where credit is due, the customer service is great, the food is very boring and basic though and there’s really no love put in it at all and just gives off cheap even though the price is up there for what it is! So sorry guys but that’s the truth for this dish needs work.

The cafe is very nice looking and great space has huge potential but the chef, did not want to be there today and it came across in the food. Not trying to be rude just honest, I own a restaurant in the north shore myself so I understand but if I served anything like I got today I’d be out of business. Looking around everyone else’s meals looked ok a little basic but much better than the slop I was served. Table next to me today complained their burger was burnt and over cooked also and when I arrived there was only 2 other tables.

I was so disappointed and left hungry to go get food elsewhere. Great coffee thought but seriously for the price point really need to look at the plating of the dishes and quality not great at all considering the cost of that dish would be between 6-8$ 12$ for highly quality ingredients and this was definitely not that, so a $20 profit margin you expect more and the eggs weren’t running they were hard the point of a Benedict is runny egg with the hollandaise and...

I put good stars for the food and the place as I am honest but zero for the service which comes from only one guy there who thought he is our boss. I can describe the person as Asian with thick black classes his age about 20 years and was taking our order.

I surprised by his attitude when I finished my order then paid then asked him to find a table and there are 5 tables empty next to the street, he just turned his back to me directly and started take some dishes from kitchen and handed over to waiters with completely ignored me and his face was in anger, it’s look like I stunted him on his face when he knows that I want my order at a table.

I did not get that attention to his attitude as my wife and son with me so we just found ourselves a table. Then after 5 minutes he came to our table with more blaming attitude given us class of how to order!!!

Man, you are only kids barely can speak English as you didn’t understand one word of our mouth, plus how I know all these orders are takeaway?? You must tell me at first “ dine in or takeaway “ then we take it from them, not after finishing my order and pay then you make yourself surprised when I said find table.

He came to our table almost look like want us out of the shop and he start pointing on us with his finger that we must inform him about table, man you should as us at first place when we ordered.

I hold my nerve as point in a finger is very bad in our culture especially my wife and son with me, I didn’t want to make drama there as I want to enjoy the shop weather with many families. I told him sorry and let is enjoying our weekend, he didn’t buy it. He even did not understand what I am saying but he said few lines which most of the words we did not understand as his English is zero.

You should ask costumer if he want to seated or takeaway when you take his order, not show your back as disrespectful as your wrong.

The place is good food is good and I avoided him and we still think why that little kid...

We visited Hudson George over the long weekend and were pleasantly surprised. It has been recently refurbished and is a lovely, light filled space with a bit of a Hampton's vibe. It’s certainly the most atmospheric and welcoming establishment in the business district of Castle Hill, and it is handily located in the Homemaker Centre, so perfect before or after a spot of shopping. I ordered the corn and zucchini fritters and they were excellent. I do consider myself a bit of a fritter connoisseur and these are one of the best I’ve had in recent memory. The poached egg was perfection, and the labne and harissa really made the dish extra special. My partner ordered the breakfast plate which didn’t look as impressive, but he enjoyed it nonetheless. I can also recommend their coffee as delightfully moreish. Overall a very good experience, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

This place is a gem. The food is on point. We had the Lamb Flatbread. It was everything I want in a meal when I eat out. The Zucchini salad with fresh mint and parsley were so good. The Koftas were tasty homemade affairs with pistachio and the Labneh and Homous perfect. Nice coffee too. Been a few times but this was outstanding. Highly recommend and well priced. If I didnt know I was in the homemaker centre in Caso... i could have easily thought i was eating somewhere on the Mediterranean.....oh and the flatbread is fresh and homemade.
