After a good burger, grill or salad? Inferno Grill in Maroubra has it all! This café conveniently located in the centre of Maroubra close to the shops and the beach, there is something for everyone here whether you're after a cheat meal or something lean and healthy.
Firstly, there is an extensive range of burgers (both beef and chicken), I loved the inventive burger names! I had the double patty cheese burger with a side of 'liquid gold' cheese sauce and oh my, it really made the cheeseburger, a cheesy cheeseburger indeed (you can't ever have enough cheese, right?). The meat patty was perfect - cooked the way I like, slightly pink in the middle.
The Greek tasting platter was superb, and great value at $24 - it comes with a bit of everything including tender, juicy BBQ lamb skewers, greek salads, grilled halloumi cheese, Inferno's famous rosemary chips, pitta bread, tzatziki dip and the most amazing golden calamari rings (which were coated in panko crumbs, such a genius idea as it added an extra depth of crunch).
They also make their own home made ice cream, when you walk inside you can see all the tempting flavours on display. I had the chocolate peanut thickshake, it was basically like a liquid snickers bar, I love anything with peanuts!
Inferno make their own golden fried churros donuts, coated generously in cinnamon sugar. You've got to eat them when they are warm, they are so good!
And lastly, I had to try some of the homemade ice cream with some authentic Greek baklava. It was the perfect way to end my dining experience at Inferno.
I would definitely come back for a visit, I want to try one of the chicken burgers and selection of salads next time.
Thank you to the team at Inferno Grill for looking after me during my visit.

Inferno is a licensed venue offering a great range of alcoholic beverages to accompany your meal including a good range of beer, which is perfect when smashing or trying to smash one of their burgers.
The menu supplying a magnitude of choice whith crazy burgers, loaded shakes, gelato, salads and as the name suggests items from the grill including steak, chicken and fish.
The burgers here are huge, make sure you bring your appetite. The lord of the fries was a monstorous stack made of some mouthwatering slow cooked pulled beef marinated in a southern style smokey BBQ sauce, with some thick cut chips and a solid serve of melted cheese. This was ordered as a combo and came with a side of their thick cut chips, some of the best we have had.
The chicken burgers are some of the best going around with a favourites being the clucking pig a fried chicken boheimeth and the honey badger, a tasty grilled chicken burger assembled with slaw and a flavoursome honey mustard sauce.
We also shared a salad: brown rice with corn kernels and sun dried tomato a good option if you are after something healthy to eat.
We could not go past their loaded shakes with the Caramello Koala granbing our attention. Being a fan of the chocolate, this shake was a must and did not disappoint. As mentioned, the servings are very generous and this shake could be considered a meal in itself.
We thank inferno for their hospitality and for their vision in creating some solid burgers shakes. Thanks to the guys at ompty media for sending us in, we will be...
Read moreAt first glance this compact space looks like a regular burger joint. Don't be fooled by appearances as this cafe on Anzac Parade not only produces lip smacking burgers, they also have wraps, freshly grilled meats and seafood, Greek inspired dishes, great sides as well as yummy thickshakes. Service here is top notch and they certainly look after you.
The thickshakes here are made the old fashioned way with loads of ice cream and served with a swirl of syrup. We had the Mocha and Bananarama version and they tasted fantastic.
The piece de resistance are the burgers. Some burgers are made for show and leave you disappointed. Not here! Not only do they really good, they taste even better. We were impressed with the juiciness of the meats in the burgers and how much flavour they packed into it. We had the Super Trooper (being a glutton added on an extra beef patty and an egg) and the Honey Badger. The Super Trooper had maple bacon which was so heavenly. The way it was flavoured and tasted, I could've eaten this all day. The Honey Badger had grilled chicken which was made it lighter and had wonderful flavouring from the honey mustard mayo and avocado. The ingredients they used in the burgers left you full and happy unlike some fast food competitors which just leave with a stodgy feeling! The Greek Chips were a revelation and the feta and oregano they used on top was divine. Onion Rings were nice and crunchy with good onion to batter ratio.
So jealous that this cafe is not closer towards me. If you live nearby you definitely need to try this place out as it will soon become your go to...
