Brazilian Flame BBQ - Maroubra — Restaurant in Sydney

I used to absolutely love this place when it was located in Rosebery. So when I discovered it had relocated to Maroubra, I was excited to try it again today.

Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. I ordered two types of meat (pork and lamb) with fries. After making the payment, I returned to the pickup station to find that my takeaway box had already been prepared, and I didn’t think to check it on the spot.

When I opened it at home, I was really surprised—and not in a good way. The pork was incredibly dry, and the lamb was overcooked to the point of being almost burnt. This level of quality simply isn’t acceptable, especially for a place that used to pride itself on freshly cooked, high-quality meats.

What was even more disheartening was seeing beautifully cooked lamb being packed for another customer right after mine. It made me wonder why that same care and quality wasn’t extended to my order.

Brazilian Flame is absolutely fantastic! The new location in Maroubra maintains the same high quality standards as their stores in Zetland and Dee Why. If you're a fan of Brazilian food or just love great barbecue, this place is a must visit.

The meats are perfectly cooked, flavorful, and juicy. Their special smoked sauce adds an incredible depth of flavor and pairs wonderfully with everything on the menu. I usually go for their mouthwatering meat selections alongside a classic coxinha, it’s always a winning combo!

I tried their 'Pastel' for the first time, and I was blown away! It’s a Brazilian take on the empanada, common in other Latin cuisines. The cheesy filling and crispy exterior reminded me of a perfectly done cheese empanada. It’s hands down one of the best side I’ve ever had, and became one of my favourite straight away.

Had a great time at Brazilian Flame BBQ! The food was incredibly delicious packed with bold, smoky Brazilian flavours. The meats were perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. 🍖 Every bite was a treat, especially when eaten hot and fresh off the grill. Trust me, don’t let it cool down it’s juicy and tender when hot, but can turn a bit rubbery if left too long. 🔥🍽️

The ambience was vibrant, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, dining in can be a bit tricky as there’s limited seating, and we had to wait around 5–10 minutes for a spot. It feels more like a takeaway-focused setup than a full dine-in restaurant.
