John's Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Sydney

Michael and his family run THE best pizzeria in the country bar none. The pizza itself is easily the best in the country with healthy, well distributed toppings and this is something that is consistent. I myself have seen Michael and his wife quality controlling each product. I have lived in multiple countries and Michael hands down is the “Pizza Man”. Myself and my partner are warmly welcomed with a “lovely to see you again my friends” without fault. The man and his family are a staple of the community, proven by their multiple business awards.

CLEAN, fresh, relaxed and home style. If I were to make a choice dining in is the best option to experience the man and his family at work.

I am a usual at Michael’s shop. Just downstairs. Today he has outdone himself. I rarely post reviews but this one I had to.

He suggested a new item on his revised menu. For someone to put their name on a pizza is a risky move.

But what a move! Probably the best pizza I have had, it beats the pizzas you get on Lygon Street in Melbourne!

The base was the right thickness, the right crispness. It did not fold into a soggy slice. The toppings were plenty and alot of flavour. The right flavour mix and each ingredient complemented each. The pesto sauce marries it all up together. Well presented too.

Places like these is why it is good to dine in locally. The man serving us had great customer service and made sure we were satisfied. We booked over the phone and though it probably wasn't necessary, the lady on the phone had good manners and felt inviting.

It's a good place for your casual pizza and pasta. I thought the mozzarella they used was excellent - stringy but with substance. The crust, while thin, still had doughy goodness. It was good but not spectacular, but that was fine by me for a regular dinner. Prices were quite reasonable.
