I was very disappointed with my visit to Frappe last Wednesday and felt the need to let you know the reason. I went along with 2 of my friends to have a late lunch. Have been there in the past and thoroughly enjoyed the experience thus why i was more than happy to visit again. We walked in and the "club" music (not even Greek) was truly so loud we could not hear each other speak, so we very politely asked the waiter if he wouldn't mind turning the music down slightly. He bluntly said NO without any explanation or apology...We were still keen to have some lunch there and so asked if it was ok to have our meal outside so we wouldn't hear this "club music" blaring. Again he said NO. Naturally we got up and left. We didn't ask to have the music turned off, we just asked to have it toned down a bit. We are not in Mykonos in the heat of the summer.. its Earlwood Sydney on a cold winters day! I just couldn't believe the customer service we received. Many of my family and myself included have been in the food business in similar type cafes and if we treated our customers this way, we would not have survived very long. You are there to cater to many demographics and not just one group of people. We are lucky to have so . many cafes around in this area giving us choices and believe me good customer service wins out...
Read moreOur visit here today wasn't the greatest.
The place is lovely, the atmosphere is quite peaceful, but our issue here today was that one of our patrons with us ordered a cheese/ham/mushroom crepe that took close to 35 minutes to prepare.
We were one of only 3 tables filled at the time (not many at all) and further, we noticed one table sit down, get their food, finished, paid and left while we were still waiting for this one simple meal. When asking one of the passing waitresses about the order, she abruptly replied "its being made" and proceeded back in the kitchen. We FINALLY got our crepe to see that they got the order wrong - there was no mushroom. We were quite baffled that it took 35 minutes to make a crepe with a total of 6 patrons in the cafe at the time, and the kitchen still wasn't attentive enough to follow the order. That essentially tipped the scale for a Google Review today.
I would still recommend the cafe for a nice coffee and for the scenery/feel/nature of it. The coffee was really tasty - awesome stuff from the barista, and the lady taking our order was lovely to us also. It's almost everything you want to see in a cafe!
But unfortunately, it didn't live up to it's hype...
Read moreMy friend and I came to the cafe earlier today, pretty excited to try out this place. However we were very disappointed with the lack of customer service. I understand it is a weekend and it may have been a long day but it doesnt hurt to put on a smile for customers. We weren't waited on when we arrived and had to approach the waitress to get a menu after waiting several minutes.
When we were ready to order we went to the counter, and I asked about the Freddochocolate, the girl who served me was very rude and bluntly replied "it's not Freddo in there, it's Cadbury" to further clarify I asked if there was actual chocolate inside in which she replied annoyed "its just syrup". I shook it off and proceeded to pay and she just said to take a seat. I don't know why she would shrug off someone paying but oh well.
At this point I was already unsatisfied and was not feeling the place, when we received our drinks my Freddochocolate was pretty much just icy milk with a bit of chocolate syrup. Same with the hot chocolate which was very watered down. I will say that the nutella crepes were great.
By reading your previous reviews, I suggest that management should train all their staff on...
