if you're not Greek be careful don't book special occasion here We booked for a Friday night turned up only to find they didn't have a booking for us. I showed him my phone where I had called and booked. The whole restaurant packed with Greek people staring at us. Two tables with reserved on them left we said but we are here we booked he said sorry you have to sit outside (it was a cold and rainy night) showed us the reservation book the reservation had a name scratched off it which we believe was ours bumped off for their favourite Greek clientele, rudely told us in no uncertain terms to get lost no apology of anything. I will never ever go here or recommend this restaurant. Do yourself a favour and check the reviews unless your Greek be careful. They DO discriminate. Thank you for ruining our special occasion and literally kicking us out of your restaurant we'll spend our money elsewhere. If I could give zero stars I would. Recommend if you book use a Greek name and put a bit of accent on but then why bother many other restaurants with...
Read moreWe went there at 7.30pm on Wednesday night and it was packed which is a good sign. We ordered a few starters then the lamb for our main. The starters were lovely and came out quite quickly, we then waited and waited for our main when the waiter rushed past saying we have no lamb left, my husband thought he was joking - until he came back and gave us a plate of dessert custard and said sorry they had no lamb left. We were disappointed and should have been told earlier, or the waiter should have said sorry we have run out of lamb but can we suggest an alternative. Not sure if we will go back, you only get one chance of making a good first impression and they blew it. Earlwood is a tough crowd, they need to get their act together if they want longevity in the Earlwood area - would rather go to Newtown or Marrickville, order lamb...
Read moreThe service was good but the young staff allowed an older female to do all the work whilst they stood around. She was excellent considering the workload bestowed upon her. The food was average but then I have a Greek mother, and no restaurant can beat your mother's cooking. We weren't told of the existence of all the main meals up on a chalkboard that we could not see as we were seated outside. The waiter/owner was very pushy to inflate the order. Pathetic behaviour. The menu contained mezedes, total rip off. Twenty dollars for five meat balls on a plate. Eighteen dollars for three pieces of grilled Halloumi cheese. Over twenty dollars for one Greek sausage cut into pieces. We all left after paying thirty dollars each and went home to eat. As Greeks they should be ashamed of themselves. Would not...
