Sushi Sapporo — Restaurant in Sydney

My son & I started coming here about 4 months ago every 2nd Tuesday as a mum & son date night after sport. The sushi was pretty good & well priced which is why we returned as dedicated customers…despite them often being out of some key things for a sushi restaurant (I.e. wasabi & ginger)… the last 3 times we were pushed to rush & eat fast as they seem to want to leave asap when they close & our orders were incorrect often even after them trying to correct it.

Last night we walked in & were greeted with “we are closed” … no hello, no warm welcome. It was 8:12pm. I told the gentleman his sign says 9pm & so do their online & front door listed hours. He stated the kitchen stops at 8. I said that’s also incorrect as we come every other Tuesday and always at the same time. Out of frustration he served us.

At the end I told him how terrible their service was despite us usually enjoying the food (when the order was right) but we will never go back there again. I value good service & quality and unfortunately they aren’t...

i go here most of the time not every second day with my girlfriend to get our rolls but today i call up half an hour in advance for a pickup with clear instructions, i turn up and get told they didnt understand because they thought i asked for a cucumber and avo roll for some reason, why would i ask for a salmon roll then if i wanted that? i turn up and have to wait while i was expecting to pickup, i proceed to get told to move outside because other people walk in which is highly rude when it was your mistake and i had to wait outside when its raining. good on you...

I have been to Sapporo Sushi in Earlwood several times, and overall I have been satisfied with the quality of their food. The sushi is generally fresh and tasty, and the other Japanese dishes are also good. However, some of the dishes can be a bit oily or heavy on the sauce, which can be off-putting for some people. Additionally, some of the items on the menu, such as the bento boxes, can be quite expensive for what you get. Despite these minor issues, I would still recommend Sapporo Sushi to anyone looking for good Japanese food...
