Glorious Sunday afternoon, UFC about to start and looking for a place to call home for the next few hours, sounds like a familiar lazy Sunday afternoon, except this all happened at a place in South West Sydney, Canley Vale to be exact. Arguably the food capital of Sydney, one type of venue it was missing has now appeared in the form of Bar 53.
I came here with a few friends and tried the new menu from Kitchen X, I've had plenty of burgers and there is always something reassuring when you notice the Martin's Rolls are being used, the smash here is some of the best I have had with cheese nicely melted and bacon super crisp. Fried chicken has more of a soft batter which goes well with this place. Renkon chips is always a must for me and always a struggle to find, not anymore! Chicken tenders are deliciously good and thick cut loaded fries are always a winner for me. Cheeseburger spring rolls, what else can I say but epic!!
