Knox Street Bar — Restaurant in Sydney

Great little bar, hidden away from the main street. Minutes from Central train station and with street parking available in the area - it's very convenient. AMAZING INTERIORS: with car seats, parts of planes, parts of what may be hairdresser salon furniture - it's incredible and they even have a private little room that's like a cave. Seriously! It's worth checking out - I haven't come across anything else in Sydney like it.They have an amazing eclectic food menu (local [from their roof top!] bee's honey, locally sourced cheeses and meats, and fancy breads). Although not a huge menu - what is on it, is boutique meets deli meets farmers market meets homely pub grub. It's odd and works! They also have great live burlesque-like shows and the staff are super bubbly and passionate about the place. Always feel good going here. In an excellent location, this bar has charm on every surface. From the led mop heads to the orange plastic water fountain, there's so much to look at. And then there are the drinks! The owner and bartender that served me were super friendly and helpful. I tried out the cocktail wheel and had the pleasure of trying a garage slapper made with honey from hives kept on the top of the building, it was delicious. There's a classic bar area, a little hideaway room (that could be a former dungeon or recording studio) and a dancefloor. Dropped in for a quick drink after shopping in broadway. The entrance is discreet and doesn't hint at what a big and interesting space it is underground Spun the wheel for a cocktail, was impressed by something I usually wouldn't order The food menu looks interesting, as does a good amount of the drinks list Will have to put aside an evening to do proper "research", and no doubt be tempted by their brightly coloured rack of '80s cocktail' offerings as well
