Just had my meal here with my partner. I think the savoury items we had were very acceptable, but the pastries here are just phenomenal!
First off, the pastries we had were very well made. The choux pastry was quite light and fluffy, providing some slight crisp texture, and the (butter?) creams used in both the eclair and coffee relegious were not sweet at all. The sweetness was provided by the glazes on both pastries, making the eating experience very balanced and delightful! I'm not always a big fan of pastries since they can be too sweet, but these are very delightful.
I would definitely recommend and will be coming back here again! Shoutout to Lang (I'm sorry if I misspelt your name) for her service and making us feel welcome in La Promenade...

I've included photos with prices and selections to help speed up your decision making so you won't be like me and stand in front of the counter each time paralysed by the wide range of yummy options. We always ask them to cut our selections in half so we can share!
The Japonais, eclair, vanilla slice and religieuse are all amazing and if stuck for choice, go with one of these.

Many of the recipes they use today taste just like they did when I was a very young boy so long ago (e.g. the vanilla slice, cherry & strawberry fruit flans, lemon and almandine tarts, the style of sausage rolls). Quite an achievement for a business to have such a long stretch of consistency.
The pastry on the larger fruit flans has always been nice but you need to go earlier if you want a large fruit plan (particularly on a weekend) or order ahead.
