Laneway — Restaurant in Sydney

Don’t go here.

Went to this cafe because my girlfriend goes to this uni. I went here to stop by and grab a feed.

Firstly, the people who work there doesn’t even they want to be there. I ordered a big breakfast and was so disappointed.

The atmosphere is nice, a lot of place to sit and is a cozy vibe that I can see alot of uni people can go to.

Now, I sit down and the guy who cooked it comes out and serves it to me. From first glance, you can clearly see the hash browns isn’t even cooked? How does the cook wearing proper chef whites, come and serve me the food where you can clearly see the uncooked hash browns? Imagine what the rest of the food tasted like if they couldn’t even cook potato??

The egg has no flavour and not even creamy or anything. Bread is burnt. The only good thing I can say is that the sausages and mushroom were the ONLY good thing I can say...

I personally have had great experiences with Laneway in the past. Staff there are always very amicable and do liven up my day. I always seem to find myself grabbing the Bacon and Egg burger when there, which is actually quite cheap at $9 from memory. I am a big fan of their juice and smoothie selection as well, pink juice being my favourite. It has a nice chilled out atmosphere perfect for mornings and afternoons. They have excellent music taste with frequent Tame Impala bops, for one. Nothing like it on a sunny day. It’s a shame to see the negative reviews, I can tell you for certain the bacon and egg burger has nothing wrong with it, a safe bet. Seating both inside and outside. The manager/owner clearly knows how to deliver a great experience. Quality ingredients skilfully combined into well balanced and tasty meals.
