Leaf Cafe & Co Brookvale — Restaurant in Sydney

I ordered a smoothie and a cappuccino and sat inside, only to notice how unclean the space was. The mirrors above the bench were visibly dirty, and the chairs had stains on them — not what you'd expect from a place that looks so "aesthetic."

Then came the smoothie, served with no plate and — shockingly — the biscuit was handed over bare-handed. For a café offering sit-down service, that’s absolutely unhygienic and unacceptable. The whole experience was revolting. Looks can be deceiving — this place seriously needs to lift...

Unfortunately this cafe is not up to scratch for Sydney brunch standards. The coffee, even though I had a Belgian mocha, was bitter & burnt. The poached eggs were overdone, making them into hard boiled eggs, the Turkish bread was not at all light & the butter came out very cold so hard to spread before everything started to go cold. I’ve waited 15 minutes JUST for x2 takeaway cold drinks.. this has happened 3 times since I’ve been there :( unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any organisation especially with the staff, who although are lovely, just don’t have the urgency/ time management that other places do. Nice cafe (visually) but having to wait that long for an Iced drink is crazy… :( I hope to see Leaf...
