Ever watched The Bear? The head chef John has this level of talent. Best meal I’ve had in years. Never been one to pick Lebanese food but now this meal (set menu) has changed my entire opinion. Everything was SO fresh, so flavoursome, and made with so much colour and passion. From the dips, the lamb (that just glides off the bone, to the rose water icecream with baklava. The flavours of everything were so balanced and thought out. Everything was outstanding - from the staff who served us (Andy and Noah), to the owner who has clearly spent the time to make top tier choices on glassware, plates, ambiance, and wine. I will be raving about this place for years. It is truely one of the best culinary experiences I’ve ever had - and no, this isn’t a paid review and I don’t know the owners, I just genuinely love to acknowledge passion and hardwork when I see it. I don’t usually make a point to find out everyone’s names at a restaurant but you don’t see this kind of calibre when you dine out anymore. Thank you for making this the best date night EVER. Everyone here is passionate and it shows. *chefs kiss* Thank you all for such a wonderful WONDERFUL night! We are coming back, and telling everyone we know.

'Lillah' means beautiful night in Arebic! Indeed, it was a beautiful night. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Celebrated my friend's birthday here. Had 3 course meals. They had meat options for the set menu. However, the staff has replaced it with vegetarian options for me. There was a fried item they served salad in it. It tasted a bit like it was fried in a fish oil. Hence, I asked one of their wait staff, and he honestly said, ' we fry it separately veg and non veg items but there's a stand where we keep it it might have got mixed up' he could have simply denied it still he mentioned what might have happened. I really like the honesty. The wait staff has made sure I'm happy with the service and checked if I need anything else. The food was outstanding, too. I would definitely recommend this restaurant 👌🏼

Service was a 5/5. Staff were friendly and attentive. They look after their customers very well at Lillah! Overall, the food was good. Portion sizes were on the smaller side if you are dining as a medium to larger size group. Notable dishes include the trio of dips, salt & pepper aleppo squid and handmade falafels. I enjoyed the appetizers alot more than the mains which I am sad to say were a bit of a miss for us. We had the chicken shawarma, wagyu kofta, sticky date lamb shoulder accompanied with the fatoush salad and fries (top notch cooked to cripsy exterior and fluffy interior perfection). We had a pleasant dining experience in general and give high compliments to the amazing staff and service.

From the moment we began planning our son’s combined 1st Birthday and Christening for April 7th, 2024, Lillah Middle Eastern in Lane Cove stood out with its exceptional service and attention to detail. With a guest list of 50 adults and 10 children, the management team went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, crafting a set menu that delighted everyone, from meat lovers to vegans.

The owner’s transparency regarding pricing and his advice on how to maximise our budget without overordering was invaluable. His generosity extended to allowing us to personalise the space the night before — a gesture that truly made the event our own. We had the freedom to set up decorations, arrange for children’s entertainment, and even play our own selection of music, creating an atmosphere that was both festive and intimate.

Our guests, who traveled from both interstate and nationally, were unanimous in their praise. The food, service, and ambiance all contributed to an experience that was nothing short of joyful. The standout dish was the lamb, which was the talk of the table and a perfect representation of the culinary excellence we enjoyed.

For anyone looking for a venue that offers a service that will work with you holistially on making your day perfect without a doubt, Lillah is a spectacular choice. Highly recommended.

As a side note: the owners were so generous they even purchased a gift for our sons birthday which was...

I am a data analyst at a large organisation and after looking at the reviews for this restaurant I realised that most of the reviews are 4 years old. Any negative reviews will do nothing as they have as many as 400 positive reviews from 4 years ago, not many recent ones. Hence they have very little need to improve themselves. The dishes are overpriced and I felt misled. They say that you can share the plates however that's not the case. it's simply just not enough. This should be priced at 150 dollars per person to be sufficient. But the decor should be more extravagant to fit the price. I am very disappointed. I want a refund. If I could give the restaurant zero or half a star I would. The staff are defensive when given criticism. I hope that they will show some improvement and google should be asking restaurants to have more recent reviews. I simply felt like I was on a diet and I came to celebrate a bday and left feeling very bitter afterwards. Did not even want to have the bday cake there because the disappointment was unbearable and atmosphere was not so good.

Update: Please learn from your mistakes. This is an unbiased review from a person who is of a multicultural background. What you are saying is a personal attack, based on false claims.

Please be respectful, the truth hurts sometimes. I hope that you increase the portion size for others for the price. Then the rating you get will be higher. It is...

I wish I could give less than one star to this restaurant due to the overcharged bill and the extremely rude behavior of George, who managed our table (he’s the Indian guy, who I’ve been told is the owner of the restaurant). I booked a table for 19 people, but when we arrived, I mentioned that a few wouldn’t be coming. George said it was fine. In the end, 16 of us were there, and we barely had enough banquet for 16, yet he overcharged me and was incredibly rude when I complained the next day. He even hung up on me when I pointed out and mentioned go a do whatever you want as I gave you food for 24 people. Where in the world do you serve a banquet for 24 when the booking was for 19 and only 16 showed up? I’m absolutely disgusted.

They served a coke with whiskey to someone at our table who is Muslim who doesn’t drink alcohol which I had to pay more and they were not even sorry. We specifically asked not to have ice cream with the dessert since our birthday cake was an ice cream scoop cake, but they served the dessert with ice cream before bringing out the cake, which ruined the celebration.

The rudeness I experienced from George the next day still has me shaking as I write this review. This restaurant is nothing like other Lebanese places known for their generosity—you’ll get...
