Loco Birria Narrabeen — Restaurant in Sydney

Just don’t honestly drive a bit further to Monavale and try the little Mexican on Waratah st that actually has bar staff and great atmosphere and service. This place is beyond a joke and needs new management, I felt bad for the poor young girl as it was definitely not her fault and she was very friendly but aside from that we arrived at opening time (instagram which is wrong ) to find it not open went to call and saw on google hours have changed to 5 so waited around an hour. 5 pm came and lights still off doors not open, kept waiting and eventually lights came on and we entered, told to sit anywhere first table was still dirty from last service! Second table was clean seats still covered in food crumbs and ripped to shreds! Staff hadn’t arrived so no one to make drinks for the hour of happy hour! By this point it’s already 5:20… No music just an empty dirty restaurant with no bar staff to make a drink, we ordered our food and as I looked around at the filthy restaurant and the dirty kitchen heard the microwave going and decided I wasn’t game enough to stay I can’t comment on the food but everything else is one star and from the state of everything probably would have ended up with...

We honestly can’t fault the food here, it’s always fantastic. We absolutely love the Birria Tacos and are always excited to get them. Normally we grab takeaway and head to the lake, but last night we decided to dine in.

The food was as delicious as ever, but the wait times were long, about 25 minutes for guacamole and chips, and another 45 minutes for our mains. The waitresses were clearly working hard and busy the whole time, but it did feel a bit chaotic with limited seating, people bringing dogs, and staff having to shuffle things around.

We’ll probably try dining in earlier next time to see if it’s a smoother experience, otherwise we’ll stick to takeaway (which is always a win!). One small suggestion, having a separate pickup point for Uber Eats drivers would help, as they were often standing very close to our table while we were trying to enjoy a date night.

Overall though, fabulous food as always, just a little...

I had one of those nights where I just strictly felt like birra tacos 🌮. I was out at narrabeen anyway and found this neat little place on the main road tucked in the corner .

Great greeting and a nice atmosphere on first walk in .

I ordered two chicken and a beef birra tacos, and prawn tostadas .

The prawn tosdadas came out first and why all the flavour was there and they tasted great the could done with just one more prawn on each as it only had two small prawns . On such a big surface but that could be me being picky . By all means though they tasted great and I'm not disappointed at all .

Then the birra tacos came out nice thick sauce which is what I like . Great flavour and cooked really nice . Again only down side was they were missing cilantro as traditionally they come with it . But that could be me being picky.

Overall I'm very happy and will come again for sure ....
