Pizza Riccardo — Restaurant in Sydney

Yesterday on the eve of Father's Day we had booked the restaurant. Once we reached there, we were treated well by the girls. Upon confirming the reservation, they allocated the place on the waterfront side as per our preference mentioned in the booking. Then a old gentlemen came and 3 times confirmed with us if we really had booking. We felt awkward as we noticed he again went to confirm with the girls that we have reservation or not . We felt the enquiry was racist in nature. Because almost all guest were white skin people except we few wheatish colour one . In fact I could notice the old who was doing deep enquiry with us was from Italy. I really felt to go out from the restaurant as it was every embarrassing for us. My wife and other family members insisted not to spoil the father's celebration and leave this matter.

Now the food part . 2-3 times we had been there earlier food were good but this time, it was literally pathetic. We ordered Aranchini balls which was fine but rest all items were like were served in haste. Burratta was horrible awful . The main course came with 45 minutes delay, even we ordered starter and maIn course together. Pizza we ordered with extra cheese but it came almost no cheese and soggy condition and when we confronted the guy, he offered if we can bring some cheese or can take pizza back and add some cheese. We did not want to further delay as we had been served with so much delay. The pasta was again cold and tasteless.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant while celebrating Christmas with a group of friends. While the salads, entrees, and pastas were enjoyable, the service was severely lacking.

About 45 minutes after the pastas were served, we began to wonder about the pizzas that over half the table had ordered. It turned out they had been completely forgotten. When we inquired about our order, we were told that it would take another 5 minutes. However, we noticed that the pizza ovens had already been turned off, and the staff was beginning to pack up, indicating that they hadn’t even started making our pizzas. Realizing it would take much longer than promised, we decided to cancel the pizzas and request our bill instead.

Our issues with the bill added even more frustration; we had to send it back twice because it still included a pizza we didn’t receive and items we had already paid for. To make matters worse, there was no offer of compensation, drinks, or food to apologize for the mix-up. Receiving an accurate bill ended up taking another 20 minutes as staff were busy prioritising other things.
