This restaurant finally re opened after being temporarily closed for so many years. I have been patiently waiting for their re opening. The food here is delicious and reasonably priced. However, after my last visit to this restaurant I don’t think I would be returning. My partner ordered sweet sour pork and one large steam rice for take away. The lady at the cash register over charged us for the meal. The total was $34.40. We didn’t even have the time to check the total of the bill on the EFTPOS machine, and the payment was processed. As soon as we confronted her, she got very angry and became impatient with us. She started sighing, clicking her tongue and showing her frustration at us. I understood everything she said about us in Cantonese. I was very angry at the nasty remarks she made but I chose to not speak back because I did not wanted to escalate the issue during the busy dinner service. I think she may have over charged us due to a language barrier, but adding extra costs to our total bill is unacceptable.. In the end she offered to pay us back the difference after repeating the order to her multiple times but she was not happy. When my partner went back to pick up the takeaway, her whole demeanour changed. She was extremely polite to him, which left us in utter confusion. I am aware that majority of the staff working at the restaurant do not speak English as their first language, however it would be preferable if the cashier could communicate with...

TL;DR

Don't waste your money and your time for worst service attitude and lousy food quality. This restaurant deserve ZERO star, but I have to give it one star for rating purpose.

We went there for dinner on 27/5/18, as a group of 9 peoples. Ordered Satay chicken, Yangzhou fried rice, salted fish fried rice, stir fried beef noodle and fried YeeMee.

First of all, POOR SERVICE ATTITUDE. There's no spoon on table for fried rice. We asked for 3 set of spoons and the staff just bang the spoons on table. Yes, he BANG it on table regardless we have 2 kids sitting there. When we remind him to be aware with his service attitude, he just impatiently asked back "COME ON, how do you want me to put that on table?". Seems like someone owe him millions of dollars and he can't collect his debt...

And for the food quality. I never put soy sauce to Chinese food because I want to respect the chef and taste the food. This shop is the first ever shop make me put soy sauce into my food because the stir fried beef noodle and fried YeeMee are simply tasteless. Beside, I bet you don't expect satay chicken taste so bland, and it doesn't look like or taste like satay chicken at all. Yangzhou fried rice and salted fish fried rice just so so but at least edible.

I'll never go back again and will definitely advise whoever I know to avoid this shop...

Racist. Ageist. Disgusting. Dismissive. Rude. Lazy. Came here to get some food. Immediately, after looking at my friend and I (who are of different race) the staff were ignoring, dismissive and refused to treat us with any respect. We decided to ignore it and order some takeaway food. Just some simple chow mein (which from other experiences takes max 15 minutes to prepare with a full house of guests). After about 20 minutes, I asked when the food was coming out (there were only 3 “families”). The boss lady ignored me and pushed passed bringing out countless plates to the 2 other Chinese families and their own staff. YES, they were serving themselves whilst our food order was neglected and unprepared. After asking several times the lady (WHO WAS HERSELF FOOD) looked annoyed and complained in Chinese with her other colleagues looking at us and calling names. Eventually after making it known that it is rude that she chose to ignore us we got our food. I watched as she packed it WITH BARE HANDS. I saw her DROP IT KN THE TABLE, PICK IT UP WITH HER HANDS(which i saw she sucked) AND SQUASH IT IN. It is 2025, we should not be entering a shop to only be treated with utter disrespect and with disgusting finger sucked hands packing our food . I know for a fact if I was a Chinese 20 year old woman I’d be treated with top...

Exactly the kind of spot you go to when you want no-fuss, big-portion Chinese food that satisfies without trying too hard. We went for the salt & pepper pork chop and chicken with silken tofu. The pork chop was the highlight, piled high on the plate, crispy on the outside with a solid bite and plenty of meat. It leaned more savoury than spicy, without too much pepper or heat, but it still delivered that addictive saltiness. The chicken with silken tofu was a classic comfort dish, mellow, warm, and soothing. The tofu was soft and smooth, and the starchy gravy pulled it all together, even if it didn’t pack much punch. It felt very home-style, like something you’d get in a home-cooked Cantonese meal. Everything came out quick and hot, and the portions were way more generous than expected. Honestly, two dishes could’ve stretched to three people if no one was starving. The place itself is nothing fancy but that’s part of the charm. You’re not here for ambience, you’re here for solid food and a full stomach. Overall, a reliable, satisfying feed and a strong pick for an easy dinner with friends or family.

We travel 25 km to try out this supposedly more popular, but economical family style set menu for 3, However, for 4 people, an additional charge of $5 for rice, whether the 4th person consumes rice or not. consisting of a Whole Barramundi and three other dishes. The fish is good but the quality of the rest rates from poor to alright.. We pay extra for more bitter melon for the fish. Our excitement drops to negative when the outer Omlette arrives. It is a great disappointment. The oysters are tiny and the Omlette is flat and dry. We expect it to be like "Or Jian". The Sweet and Sour Pork is cooked more for westerners with a good serve of onion. The colouring is too strong for my liking. The Chinese Broccoli with Salted Fish is pretty average. It is rather to draw conclusion to rate this 3-star or 4-star, some dishes appear to be bigger in portion size and better presented.

3.5 - Lots of mostly older Customers, who enjoy the relaxed casual atmosphere of this restaurant. It was really nice to listen in on some conversations as they proudly talked about the value they receive when they eat here for large amounts of family and friends. I had a Ginger & Shallot Stir Noodle ($13), and a Seafood Congee ($14.80). I missed the opportunity to see Shallots and more Ginger in the Congee there were huge prawns and some slices of fish but I didn't like the little scallops inside). The congee was very smooth but ingredients not very well distributed. The Ginger and Shallot noodle was also very large but needed to be stirred as the noodles hardened. It also needed some Shallot oil for more moisture and natural flavour (not just sauce). Staff were ok. There was a huge wait time between receiving the noodle and the Congee.
