KOKO Amusement Burwood — Attraction in Sydney

Terrible customer service, no aircon, faulty machines:

GSA (guest service attendant) at the front counter was uninviting, and when reloading my card they charged me for paying by card, no signs or verbal communication about the surcharge. A second attendant recharging my card didn’t acknowledge me when I was at the counter although at Koko Burwood… there’s non. Very tight space packed full with machines and pool tables, many machines not functioning. The only fans in the space were for maimai players (rhyme game players). Many of the machines were faulty, triggers not working on the guns, sensors not working resulting in unplayable games. Attendants don’t resolve issues brought to them, they won’t even fix a simple machine. Something very shocking coming from Timezone, their competitor. There’s no comparison between the way staff treat customers and, are knowledgeable in the way to resolve customers problems and machine failures at Koko. Timezone is just better!! More well kept, knowledgeable attendants that will fix machines and put the customer’s experience first.

Koko has a long way to go before I even consider...

Oh my goodness—what a gem KOKO Amusement in Burwood is! Tucked away on Level 3 of Emerald Square, this place is a total dreamland for kids… and big kids at heart too. From the moment we stepped in, the vibe was all smiles and excitement.

The arcade is packed with such a wide variety of games—tons of claw machines, music games, and classic cabinets. There’s something for every mood, whether you want to test your skills, chase prizes, or just have a laugh with friends. It’s perfect for family time or a fun catch-up with friends—trust me, you won’t run out of stuff to play.  

The ambience has such a refreshing feel—bright, clean, and filled with energy. The staff here go above and beyond—friendly, super helpful, and genuinely present. Special shout-out to the team for making the experience extra awesome—she really made one guest’s day!  

Hours? Flexible and convenient! KOKO opens mid-morning and stays going until late at night—making it idea l for spontaneous visits or late-night...

A big shoutout to all the amazing frontline workers at Burwood — seriously, your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed! 💪💛 You guys are absolute legends. Working those late nights isn’t easy, especially with all the risks and psychosocial stress that come with it, but your kindness really shines through.

Special mention to Rudy, Jackson, and Klara — you three went above and beyond! You honestly deserve a raise, some recognition, and a whole lot of appreciation for what you do. 🙌

They even gave me a discount (how nice is that?!) 🥹💫

The whole vibe felt like a mini Disneyland — not in the USA, but right here in Sydney, Australia! 🇦🇺🎢

Just a little feedback though — it’d be great to have more security around at night. Things can get a bit rough with the thefts and behaviour happening sometimes.
