Went and tried this place tonight and was slightly disappointed with my experience.
When arriving i was standing at the front of the register, which apparently is the wrong end of the line.
There is a "order here" sign on the food window at the other end that was blocked by the other customers before me.
This isn't a big deal, but it would have been better if the sign is positioned above the counters so that it is visible no matter where you stand.
I've always buy my burrito from Guzman and this was a very different ordeing experience.
At Guzman I order and paid first, here I order first and confirm every ingredient before paying, come to think of it, it is exactly the same as they do at Subway.
This isn't an issue but i did noticed a small girl trying to order but the display window is much taller than her and it would be quiet difficult kids or shorter person to make their order.
I was asked if i wanted black or brown bean, and i said black bean but he gave me brown beans instead, its not his fault because it was crowded and i didn't correct him because i dont mind trying new things and didn't want to shout across the counter.
For some reason he asked another server to complete my burrito, it is odd because that person was serving another customer.
The disorganised staff and running of the couter does affect the mood of the customer, and I do hope they will get better with experience.
The cheese given was very little, it was like a small sprinkle, and a third of what I expected it to be.
I didn't want to ask for more cheese because I wanted a what you see is what you get experience.
My burrito is shorter but fatter than the ones i get at the Guzman, I personally perfer a longer and slimmer version because it is easier to eat, the insides starts to drop out when eating this wider version.
My chicken burrito tasted pretty decent and I like the fact that there are sauce bottles at the tables.
I did notice that I get more meat in the burrito at Guzman.
I hope this store will stay and things gets better...
Read moreIt’s been forever since I wanted to write this review, and now that I’ve moved to a faraway suburb with fewer food options, I really miss this place! You might think it’s just another Mad Mex, but I’m here to say otherwise… after trying others around Sydney, none match the quality and service of this one.
Everyone may use the same ingredients, but the difference is the staff. For two years before I left Bankstown, this was my favorite spot for a quick meal. The team, many of whom I believe are Nepalese, are incredibly kind and always willing to prepare my food exactly how I like it, even though I’m picky. They always serve it with huge smiles and a relaxed, friendly attitude. You can really feel their passion and dedication in every meal, they make a simple preparation feel amazing because they genuinely care about making you happy.
After a few visits, a cute Nepalese girl I wish I knew the name of, she once dyed her hair cherry red, remembered my order and how I like it. She was just amazing! The kitchen staff, who also help at the front, are attentive and kind, and there’s a lovely blonde lady who seems to run the shop, she’s always welcoming with a huge smile. My favorite, the Grande Melt, is made perfectly every time. I hope the same team is still there, because I don't go there for about 5 months but I’m planning to visit soon. Keep up...
