This mad Mex is run by money hungry people. They seem to treat the staff terribly. I had a lovely young man serve me and almost immediately he gets over run by an Indian lady, I can only assume is one of the owners, she ends up asking so many questions I consistently get confused to the point that I just continuously say no to what she is asking and tell her exactly what I want (rice, beans, chicken, medium with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sour cream). I ordered a naked burrito bowl and that is usually $12.90 when I go to other mad mex’s however it came out to be $19.90, when I questioned the price I was told that I agreed to the extra costs however I was not once notified that there would be extra costs, I’m no lawyer however I am sure that it is illegal to not announce extra costs to a customer especially if I’m definitely not asking or getting anything extra. I truly wish the owners of this store step down and allow for their staff to play the roles they are meant to play in this store, they seem to be doing a lot better job in terms of customer service and seem to consistently put down by their bosses. Read moreI visited Mad Mex Merrylands last Tuesday, and I must say it was one of the worst customer service experiences I am experiencing from many times but was just ignoring from very first. From the moment I stepped in, the staff, especially the manager who also works at Mad Mex Parramatta aswell, displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and courtesy. What was even more disappointing was the portion sizes. Despite paying a significant amount, the food I received was far below the standard amount I’ve come to expect from Mad Mex. It felt like I was being shortchanged, and when I politely raised the issue, I was met with indifference. The manager, in particular, was incredibly unprofessional, showing an unjustified attitude and making no effort to resolve the concerns. Instead of trying to address the issue, the manager was rude and dismissive, making it clear that customer feedback wasn’t valued. Served by a female worker on 03/01/25 at around 2pm who flat out refused to allow me to put rice on my Quesadilla, despite other staff members accommodating me each time I'd eaten there previously (THANK YOU!). She then proceeded to belittle me by shoving a menu in my face and telling me they didn't do rice on quesadillas, which I of course already knew...I then asked her politely if she could please mention it to one of the two other staff members on with her currently, to which she ignored me, I asked again and she cut me off. I was the only customer at the time, and this is the first time I've ever experienced staff from this branch being so blunt and unwilling to help. Food was still good, but service, unacceptable.
