I am so disappointed. I love Mad Mex, but the service in here was really bad. There was one woman (apparently the manager or supervisor) was not kind at all to the customers, no eye contact and she looked annoyed. I could feel that even before she served me. When I ordered my Grande Melt, she did not have enough onion and capsicum, she seriously wanted to give me a quarter of the portion that she should given. I asked for more and she refused at first, but then I told her "I can wait" to let her know I can still wait, but she kept making excuses and maybe she didn't want me to wait, no idea why. Also I asked for extra corn, but she said they don't have. I know it's in the menu, because I always get the Grande Melt with corn, but she simply didn't want to give me. There was another worker there, apparently just a regular worker, but she was way nicer than the manager or supervisor. Won't be going there again. It's sad that the Madmex brand has these...
Read moreDon't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the food and franchise. But my experience at this particular store was terrible (Sydney Domestic airport); staff was rude to me when I asked them to remake my order when they gave me a Poco Diablo (spicy chicken) burrito when I ordered the (spicy vegan), they repeated said I ordered to Poco Diablo, which I did and I specified it was the vegan option that I wanted, since both meals were under the same name. The vegan meal is already $1 more for some reason, and they charged me an extra $1 on top of that for the vegan cheese! But there are cheese in the photo of the meal, and also I know for a fact that vegan cheese is less expensive to make than normal cheese. Why charge the customer extra for that? I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I can see why people don't want to be when you're trying capitalise on a...
Read moreExecutive summary: avoid. You can do MUCH better for less. Hola amigo and muchos gracias for reading my Google Local Guide review of Mad Max at Sydney T3. This visit, I ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and to call it 'underwhelming' would be an understanding. If you've ever had a hearty, generously-sized breakfast burrito in North America (or even one here in Australia at somewhere like Guzman Y Gomez) you will be very disappointed with the offering here. It's a $5 snack-sized menu item being sold for an outrageous $10. Talk about being stingy with the ingredients - they might as well swap-out the tiny slotted spoons for a teaspoon. And don't get me started on the hard sell for add-on items like beverages. Two stars for convenient location, good service time and high...
