It’s not hard to see why this location has such a poor rating.
I visited this location several weeks ago, and they screwed up my order. It happens, but it was annoying as I’d gone in especially to try their latest promotion. I rang the store to advise of the issue... When I explained the issue I was initially hung up on, and then upon calling back and speaking to the manager, instead of acknowledging their error and offering a reasonable solution I was offered excuses and told I could go all the way back down there if I wanted a refund - As I was so far away this was not an option. I decided to report the issue And how it was handled via the McDonalds website. After 1 week of silence I followed up, and was advised someone would call me. A few days later I got a voice message from the restaurant manager suggesting I call back or that he would try again at a later stage. I attempted to call him back and the call went unanswered, and another week passed and I still had not had any further follow up from the restaurant manager. Now, not only was the issue the order they got wrong, but it was now the lack of concern by the restaurant manager to resolve it, so again I contacted HO. Again I was advised someone would call me back. I was even asked when a good time was to each me would be? I advised late afternoon and despite this the following day I received a voice message from the operations manager in the morning. I returned his call, and explained that my annoyance over the initial issue now paled compared to how my complaint had been handled. During the conversation with him it it became apparent that he had not been given the correct facts, and that his staff had actually lied to him about the follow up of my complaint. And. Instead of understanding why I was aggrieved (yet still polite and factual) he took umbrage with my “tone”. I didn’t appreciate his attitude so I ended the call.
So, in summary not only will this location screw up your order, they also miss handle your complaint if you can be bothered to bring it up with them. In fact, they will actually go out of their way to make what was initially a relatively minor mistake a huge issue.
I don’t expect the best customer service from McDonalds, but a little professionalism and good customer service goes a long way.

Read moreI am writing this review with an overwhelming sense of anger and disappointment after my recent ordeal with McDonald's Darling Quarter Sydney NSW through Uber Eats. The sheer incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction left me furious. Here's a breakdown of the appalling experience:
Ice Cold Disappointment: The entire order arrived shockingly cold, turning what should have been an enjoyable meal into a dismal experience.
Missing McSpicy Burger: To my disbelief, the spicy burger I was eagerly anticipating was blatantly missing, making the entire order incomplete and utterly frustrating.
Burger Atrocity: The burgers were carelessly mishandled, arriving squashed and unappetizing – a clear reflection of the lack of care in both preparation and delivery.
Stale Fries: The fries were nothing short of a tragedy, with a stale, cardboard-like taste that left me questioning the quality standards.
Incorrect Drinks: Adding insult to injury, the drinks were wrong, contributing to the overall catastrophe of this order.
Disgusting Presentation: The presentation of the burgers was a nightmare, looking as if they were assembled by someone with no regard for basic culinary aesthetics. And whilst my dog could have made this meal better I must commend McDonald's for hiring blind people, as this could be the only reason for the terrible assembly.
This experience has left me not just disappointed but seething with anger. Such a blatant disregard for quality and customer satisfaction is inexcusable. I implore McDonald's Darling Quarter Sydney NSW to address these issues promptly and take customer feedback seriously. My trust in your establishment has been severely damaged.

Read moreThis has to be one of the most abhorrent restaurants I have been to. It was shocking to walk in and see food and boxes/bags left on tables and on the floor which carried out to the outside eating area. Tables were dirty. Not all touch screens were working. If you weren't quick enough to read your ticket number displayed on screen, poor you because a paper ticket was not issued. Staff were calling out numbers that were not displayed on screen, for example; my number was 95 yet they were calling out 195. In my order was a medium frozen coke, but apparently their machine was not working. They had pre-filled drink orders and left them on the counter, which had been sitting on the counter for up to 15mins. I also ordered a large cappuccino which was 3/4 filled. I returned to have it topped up with milk, only then to be told that the froth had shrunk down. My coffee order was called out as 95..not 195. Bins were over-full too. I could keep going but am running out of breath. I get that there are peak periods within the day, however this doesn't seem to be taken into consideration with this place. I wouldn't even call it a fast food place or a restaurant 🤔 My photos actually make this place look better than what it actually was. Come on McDonald's...
