Mum always said, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." Sorry, Mum, I can't hold it in anymore. To be honest, I'm at a loss to explain what's happening at this store. I'm even more surprised that it has been going on for most of the twenty years I have lived in this suburb. Where do I start? While I understand that mistakes can be made occasionally, it is advisable to check your order before leaving the store to avoid leaving with incorrect/missing items. Also, on Drive-thru, check that serviettes have been placed in your bag (you're going to need them later). I'm sick of being handed a drink at the Drive-thru window, only to hand it back as the contents leak down the side of the cup (usually followed by an inadequate wipe with a cloth)(see previous comment regarding serviette requirement). Recently (Drive-thru again), my wife watched as her drink was handed into the car directly in front of her, only to be returned and offered to her instead?! While Drive-thru service is reasonably fast, in-store service occurs at a glacial pace, and even slower in peak periods. Make sure you have a free 10-15 minutes in order to marvel at the inefficiencies on show. Staff seem to wander around in a daze, and any questions are met with an open mouth and a blank expression, all within full view of a (growing) crowd of expectant customers. Where is the leadership at this store? Where is the staff supervision? But then came the final straw. I would often work late on Wednesday nights, then pick up a frappe for my wife on the way home (to keep in her good graces!). After 3 months of being told that "the machine was broken", a staff member finally confided that "they turn the machine off at 9pm to save power, but staff have been told to say it is broken"?? Sorry, McDonald's Rouse Hill, I can put up with slow service and incompetence, but I don't like being lied to (11 times). For the past 12 months (for my own sanity), I have been driving past the Rouse Hill store to McDonald's Kellyville for a very different...
Read moreWent to pick up a Menulog order this afternoon( approx. 12:20pm). The front of house manager had a lot of assumptions about my arrival time, she yells at me and didn’t want to listen to anything I had to say. In her words “I’m not in the mood to argue today” and shows me a screenshot of something and walks away. That’s no way to resolve an issue. I guessed she was having a bad day like all of us do. There have been a number of times I’ve waited anywhere between 10-20 mins for an order and never complained or yelled. As I understand it’s a busy store. I’ve had great interactions with other managers, especially the guy who wears a checked shirt. I’m guessing he’s the store manager.
Really disappointed with this particular interaction. Hope higher management looks into the wellbeing of the employees and promotes two way communication.
I do apologise on behalf of all the delivery drivers, if we have been rude or annoying in anyway. Hope our interactions moving forward are focused to work together and not against each other.
Enough of my rant!! Get that McSpicy while it...
Read moreEvery time I come to this McDonald’s they screw something up.
The first time was a few years ago when I went through the drive thru; they gave me half my order and told me to wait in the waiting bay. After being there for about 20 minutes I went inside and asked about the rest of my order. Apparently my payment hadn’t gone through properly, which they had neglected to tell me (and still gave me half my order in the first place?), then forgot about me and just left me sitting in my car waiting for something that would never come. I ended up fixing the issue and they gave the rest of my order for free.
Since then it’s been nothing but forgotten and stuffed up orders. Most recently, I made an order inside at one of the digital kiosks, which they also forgot about until I asked about it after waiting for ten minutes. Then got the usual ‘sorry for the wait’. Honestly someone needs to teach these kids how to pay attention and check things and not just button through orders on...
