This place was excellent!!! First time visit but it won't be the last. The food was great and there was a good selection of things to eat and the servings were very generous. We had the Salt and Pepper Calamari and the Beef Nachos, both delicious and the nachos were just wonderful with enough bite to be a little spicy, but not too hot. Just about everything on the menu sounded nice so we will have to go back a few times to try some more. Highly recommend and the staff were all very nice.
We loved it so much we went back 2 days later for an early New Years Eve dinner with my brother. This time we had the Fish & Chips, The Salt & Pepper Calamari & the $12.50 daily special The Chicken Schnitzel, which was enormous and my brother couldn't finish it! The servings are just so generous! They have a $12.50 special everyday which is great, so we have to keep coming back till we have worked our way through the menu! And the staff are also outstanding! :)
We are now regulars and have been back almost every Friday night. The food is wonderful and we have tried lots of food on the menu, but I have forgotten to take photos! Friday night 21st Feb 2010 the owner shouted us a round of drinks which was so very generous, as we told him how much we loved the place. Tonight we had the Chicken Snitzel and the Supersized Nachos which was the $12.50 special of the day and easily fed 2 of us. We just can't say enough kind words about the service and the food at Moko. Highly...
Read moreFood was delicious, had the meat pie two days in a row and was not disappointedâŚby that. I came in here with my friend and my son. The waitresses were great and helpful and accomodating for my son. After we finished our meal, my son became a bit fussy, we were the only customers on a Tuesday afternoon. After a bit of whining like kids do, I decided to pack up and leave before he could cause any more noise, as I was leaving the owner (old man with glasses) came up to me and said, children usually stay for one hour not for four hours!, I thought he was joking because I was there a total of 90mins, but I said, Yeap were leaving now, from there not sure if he had problems hearing, he repeated himself angrily while gesturing âchildren usually stay 1 hr not 4 hours!â So I repeated myself and said we were in the way out. I ordered my food arrived at 3:25 based on my photo and he âkicked me out at 4:30 which is a bit over an hour from when my food arrived.
I found this highly offensive, I was already on my way out, he couldâve kept quiet and let us be on our way but he made it a point to shame me and my son before leaving.
I regularly came for trivia and for food. Not anymore I will never come back to this establishment, which is a shame because Benâs bites menu is amazing.
Also the place smells...
Read moreWe finally have an opportunity to try this new Eastwood restaurant for lunch recently. We've watched this one but they're always busy and hard to get a table without reservation. We've tried one entree, i.e. the Potato Cheese Pancake (jeon) which is very good. The main dishes are Dried Pollack fish soup and Yuk-hoe (beef steak tartare) bim-bap. Both are good and I really like the fresh tartare bim-bap. The chef-owner seems to understand the concept of healthy cooking by declaring that all foods do not contain artificial flavouring ingredients e.g. MSG. The service and ambiance of the restaurant are good also. This is a better Korean restaurant in the suburb that has many of them.
Edit: We had our lunch on Saturday and was told that it would be their last weekend since they will change their venue into sports bar and grill place from Monday May 7th. Too bad since we like this Korean restaurant and we ordered soen tofu, garlic chives pancake joen and ojingo-bokeum rice set and they're all nicely done and well-seasoned without relying too much on sauces and MSG. I hope the owner can open at...
