Update.
Crystal reached out and invited my father, wife and I to lunch to make up for the previous issue regarding how my dad was treated.
I really appreciate the gesture and we were given menus which allowed my dad to read and pick want he wanted. That independence and not being reliant on others is important.
The rice noodles were fantastic, my dad asked for a take away container so that he could finish his meal at home. He was very happy with how tasty his meal was.
The serving size is very generous. There was no way that I could have eaten any noodle top up.
Crystal did all she could to show my dad and family that she was sorry for what happened last time. Including giving my wife flowers and gift vouchers to bring my dad back again.
I do not in any way blame the owners, Crystal and her family for what happened last time.
As for the waiter that last time told my 91 year old dad to use the QR code and turned his back on my dad as he walked away, he didn't apologise but that is NOT a reflection on Crystal or the rest of the staff. We did not ask for an apology because that should not be forced. It should be freely given or not which is a reflection on that individual.
THANK YOU Crystal and to all the other staff for making today a great day out with my dad.
My dad also loved the pickled garlic cloves and seaweed.
Thank you Ty ××××× Previous issue My 91 year old father asked for a menu. The waiter told him to scan the QR code and made no effort to provide my elderly father with a menu for him to hold and read. The waiter just looked down at my dad, spoke down at my dad and said scan the QR code. He then walked away without making any effort to say anything like I will get you a menu as soon as I can. Instead he walked away and ignored my dad.
A big fail to be so disrespectful especially in our community.
We walked out. No one treats my dad like that. A disgrace.
No one should treat any elderly...
Read moreThis place was highly recommended by a friend, so I decided to give it a try. Be prepared for a long wait because I have waited for about 40 minutes to be seated. The staff who greeted me were friendly, but the cashier wasn’t as welcoming and didn’t seem happy to answer my questions about the menu.
I ordered the signature Biang Biang noodles with extra noodles, along with a few other dishes. The portion size was very generous, and the handmade noodles were delightfully chewy. I tried the cumin lamb ribs since they were a popular choice, nearly every table had this. My personally think they were a bit dry and overcooked but they were well seasoned. As for the cold chicken with chili oil (kou shui ji), I found it quite different from the authentic version I’m used to. The sauce was starchy and didn’t have the right balance of flavors. I wouldn’t recommend it if you're looking for traditional kou shui ji.
Overall, great value for money, especially with the free noodle refill, which seems to be a big draw for many customers. I will definitely come back if there is...
Read moreSaw this place on TikTok and wanted to try it out. However my experience at this restaurant was disappointing. Menu lacked information on the dishes and was mostly in another language. If the TikTok video didn’t mention that they could refill your noodles for free we would have not known because the waiters/waitresses didn’t explain anything about the restaurant. No one pointed out to us that there was a self service station for your cutlery, sauce and drink because again the workers had explained nothing since it was our first time here. Multiple times the chef kept coming out with dishes staring directly at me thinking it’s my food he’s bringining but it wasn’t which made me uncomfortable-theres no reason to stare directly at me if you’re delivering your own food to your own table and not the customers. The dumplings were great however the noodles… bland, undercooked and too oily. The worker didn’t even offer to remake our food for us. Do...
