First visit after the new restaurant opened by the team of Sun’s Noodle in Rockdale. The restaurant is a bit noisy and crowded, tablewares are a bit worn(maybe not suitable for a first date), but this is a quite authentic ‘dai pai dong’ style that you’ll be enjoying with group of friends and family. For busy hours, there is definitely waiting time, 2pax table has high turnover, will need to wait longer for 6+ tables. We visited at around 6pm during weekend. The restaurant is packed but the floor staffs are polite and helpful. You can expect the same/similar ‘breath of wok’ (wok hei) from the wok fried dishes here, compared to Rockdale. Looking forward to go back for stir fried beef rice noodle. This new branch has BBQ session but haven’t tried. Visited again after 10 months - still very busy. Arrived 20mins after opening and was already full, we were lucky to be seated in the last double table. The floor team is well trained and they were hustling around tables to make sure dishes are serve nice and hot, respect!! Maybe there were recommendations from clients regarding the seasoning level. This time the saltiness is adjusted and less seasoned than before which is a good thing for us. My favourite of the night is the preserved fish steamed pork mince hand chopped (手剁咸鱼肉饼) - rice killer!! Good ratio of lean and fat meat, and the meat cubes come with better texture than machine made mince. Rice starts to fly out of my bowl and only remember to take a picture before my last bite. Recommend to visit early or make reservation!!

Warning: CASH ONLY So happy to see a new Cantonese restaurant open up; bringing their delicious wok hei to quick casual dining in Hurstville. Mrs Tofu and I brought the kids and all were eager to try a selection of dishes; hungry from queuing 30min early Sunday night. Crowded, noisy and come knowing it's not a place to sit around and chat. Work out your order before you get seated. The food comes out hot and fast. Eat and let someone else drooling in the queue get their turn! Claypots and hotpots are great to share. Good serves and the taro/pork one igniting fond holiday memories. Fried rice and noodles had great wok hei and their roast meats delightfully crunchy and bursting with juicy flavour. Pro Tip: Use your Translator app and order from the Chinese menu. You won't regret it. Affordable prices and generous portions. We hope they can keep their prices, quality and servings and still be rewarded well for delivering a homely Cantonese dining experience.

Came after the hype of the new branch opening and it didn’t disappoint! We made a booking before we came as we knew there’d be a line for it. Even though we didn’t have to queue for the table we waited for a bit to get a table after the customers before us finished their meal. They have a vast variety of options on their menu and it took us quite some time to decide what to have. Most of the recommended items were sold are or not available though. We went for the recommended beef dish, pork, vegetables and noodles. They all cooked to perfection to my liking, though a tad oily, it’s flavorsome and delicious every bit. Couldn’t get enough of the noodles especially. Food was served quick and the server was attentive to us too. Would love to come back again to try other dishes! Keep up the good work. However this place only accepts cash, which is the only downside of this place.
