I went to the party section this Saturday between 4 and 5pm for some glitter hair spray that said it was in stock online in this location. I checked for it myself where all the other hairsprays in the same range were but couldn’t see it there. I waited in line at the party counter for quit a while to ask if they had more somewhere else, which was fine, I understand they’re busy. When I got to the front I showed the woman working the product on my phone and tried to say I looked with the others and didn’t see it, but she was already walking away to show me the section I had looked. She walked very fast, not waiting for me at all and just walked past the section I had looked, pointed at it and walked away from me to another customer as I was trying to say I had already looked there. I was extremely shocked by this, I thought she might be coming back but realised she wasn’t and went to her, politely apologised to the woman she was helping for interrupting and told her she had walked away from me while I was talking and explained I had checked there, and was wondering if they had any more (I noticed some of the same brand behind the counter) she told me I need to look online at the stock level, which I had and showed her it said in stock. She then just said well we don’t have it and wouldn’t help me any further, I let the woman at the door know how I was treated and asked her to let her manager know. Really awful and rude woman, as someone who’s worked in customer service since I was 14, I really don’t understand why you would treat...
Read moreI recently had a terrible experience with the customer service at Big W. My husband and I were waiting at the register for at least 10 minutes with no one coming to serve us. Despite a few workers being within close proximity, they all seemed to be ignoring us. Even the lady at the self-checkout area could see we needed help but chose not to assist us or call someone over.
At one point, a worker walked right in front of us at the register, giving us hope that we would finally be served, only to walk away without a word. It was frustrating and completely unprofessional.
After finally mustering up the courage to approach the worker in the self-service area, she seemed disinterested when I explained the situation and only reluctantly called someone over to help us. The person who eventually came to help us was extremely sassy and made us feel like a burden for needing assistance.
Overall, the lack of customer service at Big W was incredibly disappointing. It is essential for staff to be attentive, helpful, and respectful to customers, and that was definitely not the case during this visit. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works towards improving their customer service standards...
Read moreVery unhappy experience today. My daughter wanted to buy some Frog plushies for her room. I wanted to buy them through afterpay so I didn't have to buy them outright today; pay them off. I told her I'd do click and collect. Only problem with these plushies is if you order it online you can't choose which plushie you want. Really stupid idea. So I decide to ask the girl at the lay-by desk if I do click and collect could my daughter pick the ones she wanted and bring them to the desk to be checked off; as we were in the shop. She told me they had to be randomly picked; and the order takes time to come through to them. A big line had formed behind me; but this girl decided to question why I was buying them this way. Like I felt she was questioning why I couldn't pay for them outright. It was embarassing to say the least. Also an older assistant asked if she needed help with a stern look towards me. WTH did I do? A simple "no" would have sufficed. So much money I've spent in this store too....
