A Hidden Gem of Authentic Japanese Hospitality
I visited Origami Café recently and had such a lovely experience that I had to share. This cozy little spot is run by a warm Japanese woman-dressed beautifully in a traditional kimono-and possibly her son, both of whom were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their genuine smiles and attentive service truly made the meal memorable.
The café itself isn't flashy, but that only adds to its charm. What it might lack in décor, it more than makes up for with heart, soul, and delicious food. Every dish felt home-cooked and authentic, and the prices were surprisingly affordable- great value for money!
Do note: it's cash only, but there's an ATM nearby so it's not an issue.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a heartwarming, affordable, and truly Japanese experience right here in the city. Let's help keep places like...

Goza was heated in the microwave and had a weird taste. Tempura prawns were floury on the inside and the batter was soggy, defiantly not fresh. Undon was very salty and had too many noodles in it which were soggy, my son would not eat it. The only dish I could eat was the sushimi salmon but the pieces had skin on them and were cut very thick. I really question all the good reviews?? I would never recommend this place or eat here again!...

I also feel that the cost for a meal is also very affordable in comparison to other cafes and restaurants nearby!
