So dissapointed in the customer service at Page Two. I did not really want to write this review but I hope by doing so they will improve their customer service towards other people.
Both myself and my partner normally order from them Daily. We nomally get a couple of coffees, some muffins and the buscuits. Lately we have been ordering from them by uber eats due to lock down.
In our last few orders they have been forgetting some items and I understand that this can happen, we are all human and we all can make mistakes. Especially during a pandemic as we can all feel a little stressed. After it happening for the third time I decided to mention it to them over the phone and I even said to myself you know what, things happen lets just support our local businesses! So I was pretty underdtanding about the whole thing.
Today on a seperate ocation I decided to go into Page Two and order our Coffees directly from them. After what I experienced today I have decided to leave a review.
I placed an order for two coffees and while getting back inside my car I ended up dropping one. Yes absoloutly my Fault! I was extremely embarressed by the situation and I told my partner I would take it back to them and explain the situation and what had just happened. I did do this and I would not even mind buying a new one or them filling it back up for me, both options would of been fine.
After explaing to the lady what had happened at Page Two she replied to me in a rude tone and said, That is your problem not ours! Buy a new one. I already felt embarressed enough going back in there and this just made me feel even worse by the way she replied to me. So, I just left and bought a coffee somewhere else.
I tried calling them straight after hoping to speak to the manger just to explain the way I was spoken to. They were not available. Anways, You guys have great coffee there just the customer service needs to be worked on and I hope by leaving this review you can work on this. Kind...
Read moreWe were, for many years, locals in Randwick. It’s a super busy place with so many people around due to its proximity to the hospital, UNSW and racecourse. There’s lots of shops, restaurants and cafes. It’s often hard to select where to eat. Page Two cafe has popped up on the brunch and lunch scene, on Belmore Road. What is so nice about this cafe is, that whilst there are plenty of seats indoors, they have a beautiful little outdoor space with a garden at the back, and decorated with hanging colourful umbrellas from the roof.
We were greeted warmly by staff and welcomed to the cafe. We chose to sit in the outdoor garden and we were given some menus to decide. We made our selection, taking three dishes to share. It was lunchtime so we decided to have two salads and a salmon crostini to share. This came atop a slice of sourdough, topped with avocado, capers, dill, red onion, cream cheese, lemon and balsamic glaze.
For the salads, we had the ‘healthy salad’ with spinach, kale, avocado, poached eggs, quinoa, pumpkin, beetroot and hummus.
They use in house made beans for their coffees and also sell shakes, leaf tea, and freshly squeezed juice. We tried the Tropicana; watermlon, mint and pineapple which was very refreshing.
Pop in for an easy and reasonably priced menu. There’s all day brekkie...

However after having breakfast here regularly on weekends for over one year I am sorry to say the kitchen has dropped the ball on two occasions with the food served. Food poisoning is serious, the first encounter was with cheese ,a mild case after taking a bite..of bitter tasting grilled halloumi..and months later , having given Page Two a second chance.. again ! unfortunately this time I had taken only a bite of tainted chorizo..and was sick for two days..
Hygiene standards and food quality need to be of the highest standards. My friendly advice to the kitchen staff.. if in doubt throw it out.. and most certainly DO NOT serve it to your customers!
I made both my concerns each time to the waiting staff .. with little reaction other than a bemused expression , had also sent an email via their website politely sharing my unsatisfactory experience.. however no reply.. no apology.. I guess they feel they don’t need my patronage..? I am ok with that.. Good food and Good...
