Pretty standard sushi/Japanese restaurant. Stick to the sushi imo and if you'd like a hot dish get it as a side.

Stay away from the dons, it's pretty cheap at $10.5. But all you get is the meat, A LOT of rice and shallots for garnish.

The karage don had a Yuzu type sauce that I couldn't really taste. It made a pretty dry eating experience and was hard to digest after. I'd love to see a chilli mayo sauce and some salad/greens with the don and less rice. But it is filling. You can get miso and small salad for an additional $2. But then I'd just recommend ordering the $15.5 bentos.

The salmon teriyaki don was pretty disappointing, it was mostly salmon skin and very salty. It would have been nice to have something to neutralize the saltiness other than rice.

I like this place, it used to be my go to in the area. But sushi train has recently upped their game. They just have more variety and creative sushi. Sushi inn needs a refresh imo to...

Date of visit 2024 Sep 03. Time of visit 1.50 pm to 2.50 pm. Overall 7.25/10. Food 7. Portion 8.5. Service 7. Indoor Air Conditioning 8. Ambience 5. Location: 8. Price AUD20 to AUD40/pax (include gst) for 1 adult male and 1 adult female. Expected meal time 1 to 1.5 hours.

Food Order: (1) Teriyaki Beef, (2) Seafood Ramen. Total AUD42.80.

Food: I felt the seafood ramen noodle was like instant noodles with seafood ingredients. The beef was chewy and normal. Overall food is average and I wouldn't recommend to eat ramen or rice here.

Portion: The portion is adequate.

Indoor Air Conditioning: The air conditioning was comfortable.

Ambience: The restaurant is rather small and feels crowded. The interior design looks basic, nothing special to mention.

Location: It is located a short distance away from Sydney Central Business District (about 20 mins car ride, 0.5 hours...

Please be careful. A while ago, I got intoxicated when I had salmon sashimi. I thought, ok maybe it is a coincidence and something else affected me. But last night (Sunday 27 October 2024), I ordered 'crab roll'. This crab was rotten, tasted like death. I don't even want to find out where it is stored in the kitchen and for how long has it been there for. When I called the waitress, she said "I'm sorry" (very nicely), however, this is not enough. I told her to please never serve this to people. She just proceeded to charge my bill like if nothing happened. And I'm not feeling great today. Very poor experience. Sushi train...

This used to be our go-to sushi place in Randwick. We always order a few servings of our favourite, the soft shell crab sushi. I understand that food has been getting expensive, so over the years I have noticed that the actual soft shell crab component of the sushi is getting smaller and smaller, while the price is getting higher. I get it. Tonight however, I ordered 4 take away sushi crab rolls and the crab was nearly non- existent. There were lots of rice and cucumber though. For $29.60, that’s not good enough. Sadly, I won’t be going back.
