The Panlasang Pinoy of Kogarah has an impressive pinoy cuisine buffet that really satisfies your cravings and erases homesickness.
The 'Bicol Express' pork dish is sure to rock your tastebuds! It is rich creamy, spicy and tasty! It's well balanced with the zest of chillis that gives it a kick especially with a side well seasoned vinegar with garlic, onions, lemon grass and ginger aftertaste.
The "Laing" is also to die for! Both dishes are primarily known for their creamy texture and spicy flavour, from coconut milk and chilli peppers. But while "Laing" consists of taro leaves (dahon ng gabi), Bicol Express is mainly made with diced pork. This originated from the Philippine's Bicol region (South most part of Luzon island) Because of its really great taste and budget friendly cost. Highly recommended. ✨️😍✨️
The "Lechon Paksiw" was also mouth watering dish. Lechon Paksiw is a Filipino pork dish made using leftover lechon or lechon kawali. Lechon refers to spit roasted pig. A whole pig is prepared and skewed in a spit (a long bamboo rod) and then roasted over charcoal. Absolutely yummy!✨️😜✨️
The Panlasang Pino's Filipino "Beef Tapa" was also splendid....tapa has a delicious medley of sweet, savory and tangy flavour perfect just with my garlic rice.
The Filipino pork "Longanisa" was has a tocino hint, "De Recado" and "Hamonado! It's a sweet and garlic flavoured, savory, salty kind of sausage full of umami that really that ✨️perks you up!✨️
Their Filipino "Fried Bangus" or "Fried Milkfish" is a simple dish packed with flavours. The milkfish alone has its deliciously rich taste (especially the belly) while their homemade vinegar "spiced h
Another Filipino dish in the buffet is "Tocino" which is originally from Spain and introduced to the Philippines during the Spanish colonization, however Filipinos have made this dish completely their own by adding flavors that is a hallmark of Filipino flavours -sweet, garlicky, and peppery pork belly.
Whew.....you need contrasting flavour after tasting all that.....I craved for Pork Sinigang....that Filipino soup or stew characterized by its savory taste...almost associated with Tamarind (Sampalok), although other sour fruits and leaves can be used as souring agent such as unripe mangoes or rice venigar. Sadly, this soup wasn't available today....sayang! To my dismay.....I really craved for it.
The ✨️Iced Calamansi Drink was indeed very delightful to the palate.......I will definitely order ✨️Special Halo-halo next time, a dessert and a feast for your eyes. This glorious amalgamation of multi-colored fruits, beans and jellies nestled upon a mound of shaved ice is not only beautiful to look at, but the flavors run the amut of sweet, earthy, tropical and very creamy.
Dessert trays were on display.....ube and Bibingka, Balot, Biko, Ensaymada and varied pinoy sweets....✨️so rich....✨️so filling! 😍 so satisfying!
The store and carenderia owner Aleli Pedro😍 and Carlito Ferrer😍 and family members are very endearing to patrons and their store buyers. They have been helping the Filipino International Students by handing out "Free Groceries" to them during the past Covid 19 Season.
Two kind hearted Samaritans of our Kababayans that makes us come back ✨️willingly, ✨️impatiently & ✨️excitedly.
God Bless ✨️Panlasang Pinoy✨️....our local community hero of Kogarah, located 14 kms (9 miles) south-west of the Sydney Central Business Disrict (CBD)
They also arrange cateering for weddings, birthdays and special occassion. The ✨️Boodle Fight Menu✨️ is the next one I will try very soon, also highly recommended by Mrs Universe Australia team by founder Maryrose Salubre.✨️
We highly recommend Panlasang Pinoy.....so "Taraletz Na!" Kabayans and multicultural communities. ✨️😍✨️♻️

It reminded me of Carinderia. As I walked in, and saw all arrays of delicious dishes, and the selection of drinks in those plastic containers, it transported me back in time when I was a little girl, almost 5 decades ago.
Before I placed this comment, I looked at and read other people's feedback. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion.
One person said, "You will see dishes of pork or pork." Well, I came in, I saw fish, chicken, beef, vegetables, and other dishes. Perhaps she came in late, and all she saw was the pork dishes.
Someone also commented, "It's very expensive. Yes, true. But come on. Be realistic. Everything is expensive these days, plus you'd have trouble finding all the ingredients.
I think, if you genuinely want to eat good food, you need to be open-minded about the cost of food and rental space. Come on, we are meant to be supporting our local businesses. Even better, support our KABABAYAN (fellow country).
I am a traveller. I have been to Melbourne, Tasmania, Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, etc. I love checking out restaurants, especially Filipino food. I have been to cheaper restaurants, I have been to expensive restaurants.
Panlasang Pinoy, their dishes are authentic! The pieces are generous. Yes, it is expensive, but portions are generous. The taste has high quality! So I don't mind paying for quality.
My order was worth over $250. We ordered large portions of so many different varieties.
The staff are very friendly. I spoke to them in Tagalog. I am a lot older, still I called them ate, I said opo and po. They did the same, too. Mind you, I grew up here in Australia, and my Tagalog is as rustic as my cooking.
I think if you come in, with a positive mind, you will also receive the same energy.
The staff even gave us free drinks, and I said there's 4 of us. Does that mean we all get free drinks. She said Opo. So how's that for great service.
I can't wait to return to Sydney, and I shall come back again.
I suggest checking out this place. Have a wander. Try one or two dishes. Be friendly and next thing....you feel like you are back home in the Philippines enjoying all these...
Read moredisappointing food. my issue in this shop is that the meat products - pork and beef are so hard to chew. the fish products taste so dry and smells so fishy (maybe remove the intestines or add ginger when cooking). seems like the food is “recycled from yesterday’s lunch or dinner, doesn’t seems to be fresh.
another issue is that most of the products on display aren’t marked. prices for all items should be properly marked so it would be easy for customers to know the prices of items that are on display. Proper label of items can be of great help specially for those who wants to buy and has no time to ask all items that are on display. unfortunately, prices also differs depending on who is watching over the store.
for those craving for Filipino food, this shop is a one time shop since it has some of the all time fave Filipino groceries (although prices of items sold are not all properly marked, you have to ask for the prices you want to buy). pancit today maybe sold at 10 dollars and will be at 15 tomorrow, make sure you bring extra money otherwise you’ll be shock of how much you are going to pay. Not ideal for students who are in a budget. This shop do not give tax invoice and prefers cash payment. Not good for those who needs receipt as proof of purchase since owner do not/refuse to give tax invoice to customers. Even proudly say, we prefer cash and do not give tax invoice.
location is just a few minutes walk from the nearest train station - kogarah. I hope that the management can work on the quality of food served. marked all items in the grocery section. Repaint the shop since it looks so dark (perhaps work on white light just to...
