Pemberton Foods Cafe & IGA XPRESS PEMBERTON ST — Restaurant in Sydney

The staff are very friendly, greeting us on arrival, and the food was quick to get to our table. I ordered the pulled pork eggs benedict (always have to try the eggs benedict the first visit!), and while the hollandaise was a little subtle, perhaps this wasn't a bad thing when mixed with the pork! The pork itself was tender and delicious, the toast nice and soft (good to not fight the bread for my meal), and the eggs were perfectly poached. An interesting take on my favourite brunch dish!

My partner got the breakfast plate, and the flavours were good - the eggs and relish in particular - but the serving size smaller than expected; it could have used more mushroom and tomato relish, and the bacon was maybe a little bland. The verdict on the breakfast plate overall was quite tasty but could perhaps be a little more generous...

This is a hidden gem of a cafe in botany and now quickly known to some of the locals. If you're like me and quickly get frustrated with how full brasserie bread is on the weekend to some blow ins, do yourself a favor and check this place out. I've been here a couple of times with my wife and have been very impressed with the staff's friendliness, consistency with delicious food, coffee and willingness to being hospitable to new customers. The extra attention to food here is something that deserves praise. Coffee is very good and consistent. Make sure you try the potato hash with choice of haloumi, smoked salmon or bacon. There's also a very different brekkie of angel hair pasta wrapped with haloumi and drizzled with chilli jam, with sourdough toast and poached eggs. Keep up...

Just found a hidden gem! New cafe opened by the food masters who used to make beautiful foods at Blaq Piq & Le Monde. Breakfast plate & green tea latte was delish and a great combo. Prawn risotto was mouth watering, creamy and full of flavour. Soft shell crab burger was crunchy and tasty, well balanced flavour between the pickled radishes & coleslaw.
