I have travelled the world for most of my life. I have rarely found a family that take more pride and care in their products and service than Pino’s.
The saying “ you get what you pay for” is not always true. I have been to restaurants that charged $1000 a head in New York and have been less impressed than I have at family run establishments in little places in the suburbs like Pino’s
Food here is cooked and prepared from the heart. There is a something really special about the products here and when I read negative reviews I think to myself “ who are these people”?
Went on Saturday for lunch with a food critic. She spent a small fortune on small goods and we had a magnificent Florentina for lunch.
The Bacon was shaved thin and was better than anything I have had anywhere outside of New Zealand and Manuka smoked; the Salumi and Wagyu bresaola was delicious .
I have my meats vacuum sealed and ready for sous vide, done with the herbs and a beautiful oil from the kitchen - try getting that done anywhere
I just wish I had the time to come every week or I would !!
Carla’s pastries are to die for and her Cannoli and ricotta cheesecake takes me back to my favourite places in Italy
You don’t just buy great food here you buy a part of a family history. Can’t recommend it highly enough
A few tips:
Leave your attitude at the door. Have a walk around and have a look at the magnificent displays 3.Talk to Pino (he loves to talk and is very proud of his work) Grab a table and soak up some atmosphere and order at the counter Great coffee and pastries and if you want something from the cabinets they will cook it for you and btw have a house Red to accompany it or a nice...
Read moreVery nice Saturday, appreciate the good weather, we have a late lunch with family, ordered Steak Panini from this restaurant. We have been Here for few times already . The food was good. However , today is very disappointed. The last picture was we had in May this year, we believe this is how this dish should be. The rest pictures are the one we had today. Is there anyone think they are same? When I show the food to the manager or owner there, they told me there is nothing wrong with it. I also been told the meat inside is the fresh cut scotch fillet by an elder “professional”butcher, but the other young guy seems like manager told me this is veal steak. Firstly, you let your regular customer down because of your food is inconsistent, then you rudely treated your customer who was kindly giving you feedback. As you said I am not professional butcher, i don’t have the right to judge your food is good or bad. To be honest, I don’t care about it. We leave it to the public to say. The only thing I am sure you have very bad attitude for dealing with your customer. Anyway, they offered me refund, I missed my lunch. Thanks for completely...
Read moreHave eaten here several times and each time the food and the service cannot be faulted. The pasta sauce is just like my Nonnas and the prices at the cafe I believe are reasonable. Yes the deli items, meats etc seem pricey but like Marco says you get what u pay for and I’m sure they are of the highest quality. I have lived in the area all my life and Pinos has always been well known for good quality but with high prices which most loyal customers accept. Unfortunately what people can’t accept is arrogance and rudeness and I am sorry to say i have experienced this attitude in the past and now Marco it comes through loud and clear for the world to see through your responses to unfavorable reviews. The quality of the food and service from your staff is great but can I suggest that it’s not the bad reviews that will hurt your reputation, it’s the tone in which u respond. U should take this and all reviews as constructive criticism and an opportunity to improve - not...
