After weeks and weeks of trying every lamb chop, meat pie, Ozzie beef and barramundi, we just wanted something simple fresh and clean tasting, no sauce, no frying. Raw Bar to the rescue! A giant delicious salad that we split, a plate of the house selection sushi plate with outstanding sashimi and the biggest hand roll I've ever seen did the trick for Mark and I. The hand roll was more like a Japanese burrito it was so big. The fish was fresh, the preparation simple (no weird mayo sauces just straight forward) and the veggies perfect. Our Italian server was funny and personable. If we lived in Bondi it would def be a regular spot.

The place is in a great location, the atmosphere is nice. Food is of good quality, yes prices can seem expensive but please keep in mind is a sushi bar in front of one of the most popular beaches in the world so I think price is right for the quality, atmosphere and location. Service could be faster but no major complains, the bartender poured one of the most refreshing and interesting lemonade I have ever tasted. If you have a craving for Japanese food and you are in the area I would definitely recommend it.

Delicious food with a fantastic menu and an amazing cocktail selection! The flavors of each dish were truly outstanding, with the soft shell crab being an absolute highlight—crispy, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The matcha margarita was unique and refreshing, blending traditional flavors with a modern twist. The ambience was also great, offering a cozy yet stylish atmosphere that made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for both the food and the overall vibe!

Came here on a Wednesday night and was pretty busy. Not sure why though. Service was horrible, Food was average, and the tables are so squashed together the waitresses behind was being wiped on my partner shoulder every 10 minutes to attend the other tables. We were put into a corner table and it felt like we were overlooked leaving us feeling hungry and sad when we just wanted to order or request extra utensils. After waiting a while just to order (20mins) I had to haggle one of the waiters to get his attention when he was cleaning another table. Food came and the miso soup was served with no soup spoon, after asking for one nicely to a waitress, it seemed as if I was annoying her for making her go get a spoon. The miso soup was also not hot, it was below lukewarm. The rest of the food was okay, the popcorn prawn was probably the best thing there but the tuna tataki was way over cooked and barely had any pink in the middle. After ending with another miso soup (an opportunity for redemption) it was served the same temperature again, with no spoon. I may be misunderstanding that it isn’t supposed to be served with a spoon, however she knew I would have to ask for one as I did before. Instead she dropped it off and before I could say anything she walked away and completely ignored me, going to the other side of the room. I asked another waiter who was quite warm in his approach but gave me a ice cream metal spoon that was flat and hard to eat soup off of. I gave up at this point and paid the $150 bill like a clown because this had to have been a prank. Wouldn’t...

I have been to this restaurant twice and both times have been disgraceful experiences. The first time the service was terrible and the staff acted as if my partner and I were intruding on their night for ordering food. The second time was yesterday. It was 3pm, the restaurant was not busy, my sister, my mum and myself tried to sit inside with my 7 week old baby who was in her pram and not making any noise. We were stopped halfway in the door by the MANAGER who pointed at the pram and said "Are you bringing that in here?!" There were only two other occupied tables and plenty of room. He gestured to the corner and said you can try and fit it there. He was extremely rude and left us standing there not knowing where we could sit. We ended up leaving as the manager made it very clear we weren't welcome and then didn't even serve us or provide us with menus. I live in Bondi and find this sort of service disgusting, considering how many mums are in the area it's inconceivable that a restaurant would NOT be pram friendly. I will be sharing this on all the Bondi mum Facebook pages as well as with work colleagues from two of the biggest TV networks in the country and my extensive mother's group. I sincerely hope the manager, who had thick black rimmed glasses, rethinks the way he treats customers who are willing to pay their...

Food was delicious and definitely worth the hype. They don’t take bookings but had a good system for walk in. We were told 30 minutes and we ended up waiting 55 minutes which wasn’t an issue. We sat down and ordered a bottle of wine straight away. We had a really lovely young lady looking after us - she was really personable and clearly great at her job and managing the busy dinner rush. I did notice, who I thought was the manager, being quite direct to her staff. I have been a manager before and know how during peak times you have to be direct although it became a bit awkward because the restaurant is small we could hear all the conversations. A gentlemen was in the middle of taking my order and the women directed him to do something else and before I got the chance to say the first item, he walked away to fulfils the task her was direct to do without any communication. Another piece of advice would be to mention to tables that there is a big wait at the beginning and give the table an hour to get through food/drinks. We all still had 1/2 glass of wine each and were asked to leave (it was done politely) but mentioning it at the beginning would definitely make for a better experience. Thanks for the amazing food and special mention to the young waitress looking after us - she was...
