I was very very very unimpressed with my experience at this place. I go to the same sushi train in cremorne at least twice a week and it’s fantastic but the one in Bondi was a huge let down! I ordered 2 plates and one of the plates which contained 3 pieces of sushi had a hair in between the rolls. I asked the waitress to make me a new one politely and in return she just stared at me and said alright with a very bad attitude. I went and sat down and she followed me out and said “this can’t be our chef’s because they all have short hair” and then continued to just stare at me like I was an idiot. I understand this but the waitresses both had long hair and with the attitude she gave me I felt like I was in the wrong. The hair was clearly wrapped around the sushi and it wasn’t windy so I couldn’t understand why she was trying to blame me. It’s a $4.00 sushi plate for goodness sake just give me another one. The waitresses continued to be unfriendly throughout the meal and made me feel very uncomfortable. I will not be going back to this unfriendly and...
Read moreTasty, fresh and authentic Japanese fare, with an excellent location, but giving 3 stars for the repetitive carelessness of the staff, this is the 3rd time we get take away, and all 3 times we've had not been provided with enough cutlery, chopsticks, condiments and napkins. It is very inconsistent and inconvenient when you pay top dollar for this premium food product yet get to the beach or a view vantage point, only to realise you weren't given enough cutlery or supplies to match the order. I rang to complain as this had been the 3rd time with the same issue, but the girl said I should have told her and she would give us more, I said to her "I shouldn't have to tell you, you should match the amount of dishes to the products provided". Please retrain the staff to take more careful note of the number of dishes to reflect the number of napkins, cutlery, chopsticks...
Read moreA new favourite - first time in years since we ate here - we’ve eaten at Bondi Junction Sushi Train a number of times but that hasn’t rung my bells. This one just tasted fresher and we both liked it more. Over the road from Bondi Beach - what’s not to like!? Maybe ten bench seats inside facing the sushi train, or tables and chairs facing the street outside. Have Asahi and Sapporo beers and a Lemon shochu if you like. Sashimi not on the passing train but can be ordered from the waitress - only complaint was one piece of white fish like snapper was very thin - maybe expensive. Anyway we want to come back! Second time - lots of interesting variety and spicy this and that in interesting combinations - real wasabi is a bonus with nicer taste than nasty horseradish - yeah still good...
