This converted warehouse on Victoria Park Road Marrickville, might be hard to spot from outside but make it a plan to find it. It houses a cafe which a coffee enthusiast dreams about. There are a few outdoor tables as you enter from the street, then you move inside to a coverted warehouse space with coffee paraphernalia. One counter where the machine is (and some amazing looking cronuts) and other coffee making devices are set up. Beyond this are a number of tables for you to enjoy a meal.

We were seated then perused the menu, interested to expand on our limited knowledge beyond an espresso, macchiaito, latte and cappuccino. With a plethora of choice, I went with the V60 pour over. This method involved the pouring the coffee over a grooved ceramic funnel like cup and filter paper. The barista, showing his skill, has this method down to a science weighing and timing the process, making for a nice tasting filter coffee. We also ordered a latte, a nice cup of coffee topped with some latte art, I was suitably impressed. Foodwise, there were many options that took out fancy such as the burgers or chicken and waffles and they also had a few healthier options which we went for on this day. We chose the brunch plate and the chicken and roasted cauliflower salad. The chicken cauliflower salad with chicpea, watercress and zucchini had fresh clean flavours. The Brunch plate was nicely presented with great ingredient combinations of smoked salmon, beetroot paste, avacado watercress as well as some falafel zucchini fritters, served with a lemon wedge and house made labne. We were impressed by the salmon which was house smoked with apple wood, the labne also made on site. The falafel had a crisp crust with a moist centre.

Marrickville, delivering another good cafe in roastvill which serves up good food as well as coffee. The service is friendly and the barista is very passionate and has a great knowledge of coffee. If you love your coffee, add this cafè...

Arrived eagerly anticipating the coffee and breakfast menu, visiting at a bright 8:30 AM. Initially, we ordered the pancake, knowing it would take about 20 minutes, and we were fine with that. While we waited patiently, two couples arrived, placed their orders for pancakes, and they got their pancakes 15 minutes after later, even though they had come in half an hour after us.

When the couples got their food, we were still waiting. Trying to get the attention of the staff proved difficult due to the poor service. After finally getting someone's attention, I mentioned we had been waiting for 45 minutes for the pancake. The staff looked confused, and despite multiple attempts to communicate with the kitchen, no one could explain the delay. It was evident that our order had been missed, and there were no apologies or explanations.

The couples finished their meals before our pancake finally arrived, extending our stay at the cafe until around 10 o'clock due to the delay, without any apologies or explanations. When it was time to pay, the owner, a bald gentleman, offered no apologies either and only mentioned that the coffee was complimentary.

While the food was tasty, the long wait and lack of communication left us frustrated. Without the good food, we might have left in frustration. As for the coffee, it was decent but didn't live up to the hype; I've had...

Had a late lunch today at this place since not much cafes still open around 3pm, to our surprise the food was amazingly great, had the pulled pork burger, Dirty bird Egg Benedict (polenta cake was very nice), kimchi waffle all quite nicely made and with reasonable serving size too. Mostly fantastic was the affogatto, hands down to the immense taste of the great coffee beans combined with super rich vanilla ice cream from local Serendipity ice cream. The mocha was lovely as well, I think it’s also used the same ice cream. My cravings to sweets are so very satisfied today. The reasons I left 4 stars are because of the lady who took our order made mistakes: 1; the chips was requested to have it on another plate if possible, but she got it as no spice for chips… and 2, the smoothie we ordered, we had to go to the counter to ask for it when we nearly finish as still not arrived, the person making the smoothie was like no idea we ordered it, and we got it finally when we almost finish. And it’s actually not busy at all at the time when we...
