Rocco’s Restaurant is classy providing authentic Italian cuisine. I have lived in the area for a few years now and have never heard or seen Rocco’s whenever driving past. It was through word of mouth that Rocco’s was nice or nicer than La Rumbla, so I had to try for myself.
My initial impressions: while the restaurant looks classy, it’s very spacious with plenty of tables and seats enough to throw a party of two with public seating in between. The interiors is rather dark, high ceilings with terrible acoustics. It’s so noisy that everyone is basically raising their voices x50 other people in the room. After being seated, we waited quite some time for ordering due to a full house Friday night.
The food: There are various types of pizza you can order such as wood fire, classic and Aussie style. We decided to order Italian woodfire to compare with La Rumbla. The pizza looks great and has a lot of topping, but honestly La Rumbla pizza is still the best in my opinion. The meatball spaghetti was delicious and if you have ever tried it with Parma and chilli 🌶️ try it next time because it adds a whole new level of taste and finish to your dish 👍🏻. While enjoyed the spaghetti, there was only 3 meatballs on the dish which I thought they could have done better. It also wasn’t best meatball I’ve had 👎. Prices are also a little higher than some other the other Italian restaurants in the area.
We only tried two dishes, but I am going to give it another try for other...

I’m genuinely blown away by our dining experience at Rocco’s. From the moment we walked in, the elegance of the staff and the warmth of their welcome set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable evening.
The food? Absolutely exceptional. Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Italian flavour and presented with such care that it felt like a personal gesture from the chef. You can tell there's true passion in that kitchen. The portions were just right—generous, satisfying, but never overwhelming.
The tiramisu deserves a special mention. It was hands down the best I’ve had. Rich, creamy, and clearly made from scratch with high-quality ingredients. A true masterpiece.
It’s also incredibly family-friendly. My son, who rarely finishes a meal, devoured every bite—and that alone speaks volumes.
The pricing was more than fair for such quality, service, and experience. I left feeling full, content, and genuinely grateful. This is now my go-to spot for a memorable night out and the place I’ll be recommending to family and friends whenever they ask for somewhere truly special.
To the entire team—front and back of house—thank you. You’ve created something remarkable, and we’ll be bragging about our night at Rocco’s for a long...
Read moreThere are no frills and graces with Rocco’s but what you get is a great Italian meal and very friendly and welcoming service. I had garlic prawns for an entree and my wife had zucchini flowers. My wife and I both had the seafood Zupa, a seafood soup, and our granddaughter had the porcini and mushroom risotto with truffle oil. We have eaten our way through Italy several times and been to many of Sydney and Melbourne’s more notable Italian restaurants and were pleasantly surprised by Rocco’s authentic, home style food. My garlic prawns and zupa were delicious with the the seafoods beautifully fresh with the garlic and EVOO sauce with the prawns perfect. The seafood stock in the soup tasted of the ocean with the seafood fresh and delicious. My wife commented that the zucchini flowers were as good as she has had anywhere. My granddaughter’s risotto was very tasty but lacked a little risotto type creaminess to be top class and was the very minor let down of thoroughly enjoyable meal and night. Highly recommended if you after a trattoria style...
