We were shocked with the rude, aggressive & unacceptable behaviour of a male chef’s (owner?) of the restaurant. The pork was fetid/smelly when chewed. He shouted at me loudly as he didn’t want to refund, said we eaten it & for us don’t come back.

The environment there was very hostile & unfriendly & food was awful. The special fried rice was overcooked & not tasty. The prawn soup was $23 but with a lot of water & only 4 prawns in it.

No surprise we were the only customers there.

But the female waiter was nice & polite. She tried to calm the chief down & apologised for his behaviour.

We’ve been in that restaurant for a few times. But after that incident never came back.

I don’t recommend anyone to go there if you don’t want hostile environment, to be shouted at, overpriced or have smelly food.

If the chef had such a short temper he should not have been worked with customers at all.

Very...

As a local, I thought I'd give Riu Junge Chinese Restaurant another shot after my first disappointing experience. Unfortunately, this time was even worse. I ordered a variety of different dishes hoping for a better meal, but it was all pretty terrible. The dim sims tasted old and dry, definitely not fresh. The wonton soup was a huge letdown—more like a cheap 2-minute Maggi noodle soup than anything remotely close to a proper wonton soup. The fried rice wasn’t much better, with large clumps of frozen carrot scattered throughout.

Sure, it's very well priced and cheap, but honestly, you get what you pay for. The food is low quality, and I can't say I’ll be coming back again. It’s a shame because I really wanted to give them a second chance.

Would not recommend unless you're looking for something quick and don't mind sacrificing...

Surprised that such an unpretentious venue has such excellent food. Have now visited twice and have been impressed twice with the range and quality of the food and the generosity of the serving size. The steamed prawn dumplings are to die for! The garlic king prawns exquisite. The special fried rice cooked to perfection with copious quantities of seafood, chicken, beef and pork throughout. The stir fry noodles were perfect as well. Just very difficult to fault. They even have Pepsi Max instead of that disgusting Coke No Sugar concoction! Very pleasant owners and personal service for dine-in as the food is served piping hot from wok to plate and ready to enjoy as it was meant to be enjoyed! Best parking is in Trafalgar St or The Boulevarde with the walkway through to Bay St affording...

We checked in at this airbnb not far from Bay St. & we love this place for a special reason - Mum craved decent Chinese food since she arrived in Australia a few days ago (from China) and we had been busy with lots of travel (apparently a busy holiday schedule) - it hadnt been quite easy to come across what made her tummy really sing 😅 - thank goodness we came across this Chinese restaurant near this airbnb which she seemed to enjoy as her big smile ticked the box of approval - now this "Chinese noodle lady" (aka my mum) is determined to revisit this little restaurant for the next 2 days before we head back to ADL 😂 Oh by the way the waitresses were super friendly & made us feel very welcomed ❤️

For a Chinese restaurant they offer an extensive menu of classic mainland Chinese dishes from various regions of China as well as some other Asian countries, and they do them well for a local restaurant. Soup, noodles, rice dishes, stir fries, fried dishes, braised dishes, steamed dishes - there's plenty to choose from and there's large menus with photos on the walls to help you choose. I tried the lunch special dumplings and they tasted very good for a local restaurant - great value too. Service is good and there's takeaway and dine-in (indoors and al fresco) available.
