I was feeling adventurous, like going on a blind date. I popped my mango-rice-yogurt cherry at Milk Flower and LOVED it (if they it did right, surely Share Tea will do something similar?) No. No. Nooooooo. I strolled up to the counter and waited patiently for the shop assistant to finish her well thought out novel of a text on her phone. After a few more minutes of waiting, I decided to break her concentration. After the order was placed, she proceeds to whip out a tub of Woolworths brand Greek yogurt, toss a few spoonfuls in the mixer along with a pile of sugar. After it was done, she cracks open a can of cooked purple rice (I'm not even mad about this part. I'm amazed that it's a thing) coats the cup sparingly with it, along with spurts of mango syrup. Watching this process have me a sugar overdose already, but the foodie life is about taking the good with the bad. Walking out with a cup of phony mango rice yoghurt, I took a sip and felt instant sadness. Sharetea... Stick to your bubble tea lane. Leave the mango rice yoghurt to the pros at...
Read moreWas nice to see sharetea still open as I came for a milk tea around 8-9pm and every other milk tea place was closed already.
I got the herbal jelly, pudding, pearl milk tea which was good. The pearls were nice and slighty chewy (just the way i like it) and they gave me a good serving of herbal jelly and pudding too.
Would have liked to be given an option for amount of sugar and ice, as it was a bit sweeter than my normal 30%. I believe i just got the standard 100% sugar level because i didn't specify...so maybe that's on me haha.
But otherwise, was a really good milk tea! Would come again.
I also bought a deal off liven - pay $20 and get extra $5 credit. So i guess i got to save a bit. I do have to say, even for a large milk tea, it was actually a good $1.50 cheaper than other milk tea places which have certainly gone up in pricing. It was $6.70 for a large and it came with 3 toppings. The same elsewhere is around the $8+...
Read more19/7/24 - Friday night 840pm, I order through Uber. I arrive at 9pm for pick up, the lady working there hasnât even started making any of the drinks yet which is fine, I tell her I will wait in the food court seats area. 10 mins later, I watch 3 people walk up and order their drinks, she goes to make their 3 drinks first and hands them their drinks before making my order. Does she not understand what a queue is? What royalty has walked up that their time more important than mine? I ask her this and she doesnât really give a response, just apologises but it doesnât explain this perplexing decision.
The time is now 920pm - 40 mins after Iâve ordered and 20 mins deep into my waiting there and she is still only 4/9 drinks through my order. When we finally get the drinks many of them are obviously rushed/very icy as she didnât run the blender for long enough. What a lovely waste of time and...
